When we went my youngest was 4 and my oldest was 7. My youngest was pretty shy and she was able to hang around with her sister as much as she wanted. Pretty soon, the younger was out playing and having fun so her sister was able to go off and do her things. My understanding is that they are pretty flexible in most circumstances.

Thank you everyone for answering my questions. I'm not just a newbie, I'm an irritating newbie! No I'm just trying to figure it all out now because I always go on trips and find something out on the last day and think "I wish I would have known that sooner".

I'm pretty sure they can both be in the other room. Smaller, more preschool toys etc. I would call and ask to be safe. I know my dd was 8 last summer and they let her go to deck 2 where it was supposed to be 10 and up, so I don't think they are tight on the rules.

I was wondering about that as Jacinda is nine and will be nine on the cruise if she can hang where her ten year old friends are sometimes. I assume there will be less kids on the cruise then usual so many they will let them switch around if they want.

Oh...whats csi about, can kids play it...my daughter loves csi

just got it, so I'll need a day to tell. It runs the clips very fast. I was stressing reading it in the car, so I quit. I won't stay up until 3am tonight, since Paul leaves tomorrow, or I'd be telling ya tonight :rotfl2:

That helps. My nephew is four and my daughter is five and they are worried that he won't want to go without her because he is shy. If she goes to his side on the first day, can she switch if she wants?

I was given grief about moving my 8 year old down to my 5 year olds club at Xmas, but I think it was because they were so crowded. I think there will be a different than normal kids club for our cruise.

Ok... 50 minutes and that included booking excursions... cursing the Gods of Palo Ressies... and pulling dear old mom out of bed to tell her of our itinerary..

No Palo, so I guess I will be getting on line on day 1...

This is what I've booked for excursions...

Castaway Cay - float rentals and because my mother talked me into it... Parasailing... (oh crap!!!)
Acapulco City Tour w/divers - 12:45 - 5:45
Puerto Vallarta - City Tour - 8:45 - 12:45 (and my nap at 1...:rotfl2: )
Cabo San Lucas - Harbor Cruise & Scenic Tour - 11:30- 3:45

Along with that... I have a Elemis Stone THerapy on May 15th at 3:30
& mom and I are going to have facials done on the afternoon of her birthday... May 13th (after lunch everyone...) at 3:15 and 4:30 respectively...

I decided that I will also call the GF spa and book something on the morning of the 8th so I can get in a pedicure for mom and a massage, etc. for me...

Now that you know all my spa treatments... (not enough for me, however...)

Steve:

You have said it well. Every parent I believe thinks that what is going on with their child is the worst or hardest there ever has been. And we all struggle with making choices and parenting on a daily basis. We have a neighbor that has a disabled child that takes that child to the park at the end of our street everyday to swing. We have watched this man swing with his child all of Wilson's life (8 years). Paul and I try to tell ourselves when we are down and out on what is happening with our kids, whatever the dilemma of the day might be "there by the grace of God" we could be swinging at the park. I think we know that man is in a good place with his child, as he is swinging with him/her everyday. We are grateful for our child and our childs problems, no matter how big or small they are. We can swing at the park with our child. My hat is off to you. You are a great dad. Both of our glasses are always going to be full (half or more, depends on the time of day) and I will enjoy toasting mine with you on the ship. :thumbsup2

Thank you, Nanette. I look forward to hoisting my mug with all the DISer’s onboard; as long as Captain Tom does not allow me onto the bridge afterwards to take the helm!

you are getting good at making us new homes thank you:thumbsup2

Well I can just go into edit on the fist page and then copy and paste all of it including the links. So all I have to do is paste that into a new post and all the links stay intact. Super easy once you set it up once.

The first time I did it was under stress as I was looking for the new one and couldn't find it as it had not been made yet. We had a mod saying make a new one and there was only two or three of us online. So I had to in order to keep talking! :rotfl2: So I did what I needed to so I could keep babbling...................

Ok... it was an experience... :upsidedow

I am off to bed now so I can get up at the crack of DAWN and sit and write my very nice letter to Mr. McAlpin and Mr. Iger about my lack of Palo ressies...

I need to do that on newly refreshed brain cells... which at this point... mine are not...

Sorry you guys had to go through so much last week...

Glad it went better...

night all...

Forget about Vista. See if you can get something with XP.

I agree...it's more headache than anything. We have 4 computers (2 are in Mark's office) and of the 4, one has vista...that's the only one that has problems. For example, the boys can't access the Webkinz website from it. I don't have much a problem with anything else, but that's the computer that's in our family room, so it's a hassle because they really want to get on their webkinz. (We usually all sit on the computer upstairs for them to access it...I know more about Webkinz than I care to admit!!!)

I just noticed you guys are in Burbank - any plans to attend the March or April DL meets?

Darrell and I are planning to go to both.

I am hoping to get away for the March brunch if I can arrange for a care worker to watch the boys. The April Dinner is the first night of passover, so my parents would shoot me if we were not at Seder that night with them. Both boys will hopefully not figure out that we are cruising again untill we get to MCO and get on the bus.

As a funny, just remember that if Jesus had held his last supper at any other time then Passover, instead of a tasteless flat waffer for communion, you would have a nice piece of egg bread!:rotfl2:

Yes, it was easier to do the email and there have been a lot of changes including a couple of people who cancelled who are on our master list... I'll forward that to you Lisa.

Kelly-please do forward those names to me because I've now had gift group folks asking how many people they should be buying gifts for.

Thanks!!!

Webkins ?:

So, what is everyone going to do about their pets while we are on the ship for 2 weeks? Will they really die if they aren't fed in that time? I know I am not getting internet access so the kids can take care of their pets. Good thing my mom likes to play the games too, I'll have to ask her to babysit the pets while we are gone:lmao:

I feel like Karen...but I can't remember what she would type:confused3 I just keep thinking of the All alone again song but I don't think that was it. Karen...we miss you!!!!!
Anyway, I am off to bed. Night all!
