Okay, happy campers, have fun hitting post 3,000 while I am gone. No pirates for me!

Headed to a pedicure, then pick up Jamie at dance studio to take her to performing studio for rehearsal, then headed to movie theater to see "Juno" (wanted to see 27 Dresses, but doesn't work into the schedule), then headed to Utah Jazz Game to work in concessions booth to fundraise to help pay for the $2,850 Seth Riggs Vocal Workshop that is about a week long in L.A. at end of July for Jamie for her performing group. (that is $2,850 per student in the group!). However, his vocal camp is incredible and he has worked with some of the best in the industry. By the time I get Jamie out of high school and with all the dance, ballet, vocal, piano, violin, performing group lessons, trips, performance fees, solo choreographer fees, group fees, pictures, etc., etc.,

I COULD HAVE GONE ON AT LEAST 500 MORE DISNEY CRUISES!!!!! HECK, I COULD OWN ONE OF THE SHIPS BY NOW! :scared1:

I'm sure many more of you feel the same way too!

This Morning, I was laughing when I opened the birthday card from my brother, it said Sister, I've planned a fun-filled cruise in the Mediterranean for your birthday, when I opened it and it said Can you water my plants while I'm away? with a cat dressed up tropical!!

Look like my family know I love Disney Cruise, :rolleyes1

Anyway, today is my birthday, and I am going out with my 7 friends for lunch then go to bar for champagne.:thumbsup2 :dance3:

I will be out all day until tonight.:)

Scottishwee35:flower3:

Happy Birthday :cool1:

Champagne Girls picture.....group is gathering.....not sure where yet......at 4pm on date of PC crossing. We need a group picture. Don't forget to ask about this too please. Thanks.

Can't wait! What a great 40th birthday I will have....night before birthday (15th), have Palo dinner with DH at 6pm, waking up really early on my birthday (is 6am early enough???), taking a couple of my boys up to the deck to save a spot (will there be chairs there??), passing through the Panama Canal....having a wonderful lunch in the restaurant or buffet, playing in the pool, and then Champange girl time!!! :cool1:
Lisa

That is SO COOL! I'll have to get one for Tyler too! He'd use it all the time at home for his pirate stuff now because all his pirate costumes & accessories are in a big plastic tote. This would be perfect for him!

The seller had 2 for sell!! Do you think it is actual luggage, that we can take it with us on the cruise??
Lisa

Had problems with the dis for a while, but when I got back on you had all been chatting, so must have been my computer/connection. Some pother sites were slowish so did wonder.

Trainers? :confused3

Oops, sorry. I usually try to remember to use US words.

sneakers, right Marilyn????I might remember something from my 6 months living in England over 20 years ago!
Yes:thumbsup2

They're SHOES John! Gym shoes, running shoes, athletic shoes, whatever you call them, but that type. :thumbsup2

Yes again!!!

I try and remember to use vacation for our holidays etc but missed that earlier I know. One I can't remember is purse for our handbag. A purse here is just for money.

I know there are more as you know.

Holly sweetie.....you have so many things going on right now.....it's all the uncertainties and changes......you're unable to be in school right now which is what you need for your happiness. Tyler has been sick and you don't know the full extent or the fix for those problems yet. Much less the financial burden you're carrying for school expenses and Tyler's illness. Gee I wonder why you could be a little depressed right now. Then Blake doesn't even know what you're going thru and he seems too caught up in his own troubles right now and can't be there for you in yours at the moment. Sure, I wonder why you just can't shake it this time.......Holly, don't beat yourself up. Just accept where you are in life at the moment and take one baby step at a time to change it and move thru it. The day will come when all this is so far behind you, but you're in the thick of it right now. We love you and send you our support and love and many many real hugs when we can. You'll be ok. Just feel what you do for now, you have good reason. Know that you'll get thru it even when it seems impossible and to be bombarding you all at once. It's ok. It's going to be fine. It's just a mess right now and that's ok too.....out of the ashes the phoenix will rise. You need to be here so that you can get to where you're going.
 Thanks Deb, your words make sense. The good thing is that I do have the days Tyler's at his dad's when I get a break from struggling to pull myself together. He doesn't need to see me down and doesn't need the burden of even knowing "Mom is sad" because kids project everything onto themselves and think they're the cause of everything (at least the psychologist told us that last week). OK....I'm babbling incoherently again...sorry.

About school, this week was week 7 of my 2nd semester missed. I don't think I'll even be ready next semester to go back, but my goal is to return in the fall. All of the scholarships I've seen are for current students, meaning I'd have to be enrolled in classes. Since each class is about $3K, and I'd have to be paying cash, I can probably only swing coming up with money for one class, but if that's what I need to do to be enrolled so that I'm eligible to apply for scholarships, that's what I'm going to try to do! :thumbsup2 So at least I have a tentative starting point for getting myself back into school.

Well, everyone is now up in our home. I told them the news about our room assignment! My wife ran upstairs and brought down a party dress she had recently bought in secret.

It will be a busy weekend, but one with renewed excitement!

Well I'm still 11 pages behind but have to head off to the gym, this afternoon we are going to see The Signal. Had planned on the Oscar films but it sold out before we had a chance to get tickets.

Try to keep it down to a dull roar so I'm not looking for a new thread when I get back! :rotfl2:

Love all the dresses!! Boy, I want to go shopping seeing everyone's nice stuff. How many dresses is everyone bringing?? Will anyone wear a dress every night except Pirate night??

Makes a lot of sense...probably just thought. Lisa

I usually slip on a sundress of some sort for dinner....just because that is the easiest for me. No coordination of tops to slacks and quick and easy to slip on. I will wear dressy pants, dressy top on semi-formal or formal night.

Not this part of OR! We woke up to snow and it's still trying!!! But we're heading to the Portland area soon...so keep the sunshine!!!:goodvibes

We will try to have some for you when you get here, but you know how difficult that is in this part of the country! Would you like to meet when you are over this way? We would be up for that! :woohoo:

Sounds Great! Ann(tink58) is turning 50th the day we are in Puerto vallarta and we are taking her on the slip line. I thought I was going to be the only crazy person getting at 6am...:rotfl: :rotfl:

Very beautifully put.....Hang in there Holly. I think a lot of us on the boards have gone through these things...even going to an urgent care place might help, and I'm sure your insurance would cover it. Sometimes talking to a physician helps....maybe Kaylee has some suggestions... (might have already post as I haven't caught up yet). Lisa
I only have our county health plan and it doesn't cover urgent care places. But I'll give my regular Dr. office a call on Monday. Thanks!

Lisa
Looks like luggage to me. I'm assuming it's one of those kid-size suitcases. Very cute!

I don't know. I didn't know it was a re-make, so I guess it's the new one. It was in the new release section at the video store, so probably was the re-make. It was yucky.

But I just finished "Georgia Rule" and LOVED it! Made me cry. I usually hate movies that make me cry, but needed it today. Been so down the last couple months, I just can't get out of this funk. I think the real reason for my tiredness all the time and not wanting to go out with friends, memory loss, etc. is due to how down I've been, but have been in denial. Just overwhelmed with lots of things in life right now and not coping very well. I don't think my limited county health plan has any type of coverage for seeking counseling or anything, so I'll try to just set up appointments with the pastor at church.

My mom might come to town tomorrow but I don't want her to see the state of my house. Her criticism will add to my frustration I'm sure. Trying to force myself to clean, but just want to be on the couch and cry instead. What the heck is wrong with me?!

OK.....that was TMI! Sorry. Please don't think I'm nutso....just going through a rough patch.

Holly, a lot of my problems stem from the fact that I quit crying. Crying is a good release so don't ever feel bad about doing it. I was always a crier. Cried when I was happy, sad, mad, etc. My mom used to tell me to get over it all the time. Finally I did and that is when I started having panic attacks and went into a deep depression. I still can't cry but one day will and am actually looking forward to it. You are facing a lot right now and just getting over it isn't particularly a good thing. Cry and rant here all you want. Everyone has been here for me and we will all be here for you.

:grouphug: Holly, when I look back at our lives, out of the darkest times (and we all have them) good things have come that would never have happened had we not experienced those difficulties. :grouphug: Talk with you pastor and hang in there. All things pass........and then some new trouble replaces it. ;)

Well said.

Thanks Angie! I'm not sure what my deal is. I can usually pull myself together and get through things, but this is the first time I'm not succeeding.

It is not necessary to always "pull yourself together". :grouphug:s are always here when you need them.

Carol

Thanks for all the comments on my room and mickey. My mom just built a scrapbook room onto her house and it is huge. So I noramally scrap there too.:cool1: I don't have time to scrap either but I do that instead of house work.:laundy: :lmao:

Dinner Mates:

We have only been on 1 cruise, but I was pretty bummed when we were at a table all by ourselves. It turned out fine, but I was hoping to meet some other people at dinner. It was only a 3 day, so I am not too sure how much bonding would have happened, but this time, I know we have great table mates!!!! :cool1:

I'll say that on our Carinval cruise when we saw we were at a 2 person table, we were disappointed. We really wanted to meet other people since we were traveling by ourselves and back in those days there was no discussion board (11 years ago) to make friends on. So, instead we chose to look at it as a second honeymoon! We had fun but I agree, it's much better to meet other folks with common interests, etc. Can't wait until our first meal on 5/10!!!! :goodvibes

so one of the girls bags is full, I zipped it up and put it on the scale...it said 19lbs but it feels much heavier than that.
I'm always so impressed how people can pack early...I have a hard time doing that. I think I will try to do it this time - maybe right after we tell the kids on Easter, I'll bring down all the DCL stuff from the attic and lay the luggage out in the dining room (as we never eat in the dining room!).
you know I won something on Ebay that I wasn't expecting...it is a pair of some name brand capris...they were asking an outrageous amount...for the heck of it, I gave best offer of 19.99 and they took it!
Can you post a link?

Do you know if Ann still wants to participate in the gift extender teams? I'm going to put another one together but wasn't sure.....

On the subject: If anyone hasn't PM'd me yet, and would like to join a fish extender team please do so soon! For the newbies:

Many DISers will have what is called a fish extender outside of their door. It is basically a mail box that hangs on the fish outside of the door. During the cruise, DISers will secretly drop off gifts in the extenders. Many people are giving gifts on their own. Others, in order to a) save costs or b) help brainstorm or c) help distribute, have joined up with other DISers to create a gift giving team. If you would like to join a team, please PM and I will help organize the teams. For those teams already set, you might want to PM you gift idea so I can let you know if it is a duplicate. Really, duplicates are just fine as we all like lots of everything! But if someone wants to try to make their gift unique, I can help coordinate that. I will not be putting together any teams after March 1. For any late joiners, they can contact the team members or leader directly to see if they can join, or they can gift solo. You do not have to give a gift to receive! But you do need to let Liserann know if you have a fish extender so Seaulater will have it on the Mini-navigator. Teams and solos will most likely go by the mini-navigator extender list when delivering, so if you aren't listed on there, you might be missed. If you want to participate but have finanical constraints, you could always volunteer to help distribute as there are a lot of us!

Hope that updates all the newbies and perhaps inspires some of you oldies to sign up if you haven't! It will be a lot of fun!
Lisa
