holly, I'm not sure but do baby monitors work on the ship? if so ou could put one in the cabin and hang out on the secret deck, close enough to get to him quickly if anything happened, but not stuck in the room. not sure if they work, but it's an option.

I don't know if they work either but it is a GREAT idea if they do!

I'm scared to look to see how many pages behind I am!! Didn't get on here at all on Thursday night or Friday at all, and now it is Saturday afternoon.

But I did have to say that my Pirate and Princess tickets have arrived already! Getting those sure makes it seem like the trip isn't that far off!!

And I am NOT ready .....

Oh well, better go waste some time and get caught up on this thread.

I'm thinking of booking this for now just in case our DIS one doesn't work out. We are going to review our excursions this weekend and cancel any we have second thoughts about before the 75 day mark just in case the 1st timers need the spaces.

We seem to have gone from thinking we wouldn't go on any excursions to having booked one in every port.

This one is very inexpensive. Under $40. I don't remember if it is 35 or 39, but reasonable to get us around, give us some highlights and back to the ship safely. I am just way more comfortable being on a Disney sponsored excursion.

Me too really. I think we might cancel the Aruba excursion as we can walk around Oranjsted(sp?) from the port and see the architecture.

Yup, I managed before, I'll manage this time, but with the help of drugs. Last sub excursion was the highlight of his last cruise, so to see that joy again, it's worth it. If my Dr. won't prescribe something for me my friend has Xanax I can borrow.

Ouch ! Never borrow a controlled substance from someone else. It is a Federal Crime. Just an FYI. There is a warning in small letters on every prescription label.

We have a Verizon broadband card for our MACs and were going to stop at the Verizon store today and check on this and find out what the cost would be. Not sure if it would work while we are at sea but should be able to hook-up when we are in port. Will let everyone know what we find out.

I-Chat hooked-up fine, with no changes to the set up, last week when I was at a Hampton Inn in PA last week so problem is with our ISP.

LONG drive! I think about 5 hours, so I think John knows I'm mostly just kidding.

Yup, 5 hours - not a short road trip. I drove it several times when Alex was at Debate camp at Michigan State. I knew Holly was kidding.

How old is your daughter now? I have this image of everyone looking just like their siggy line pictures but I assume she was like 6 in that picture. I will have trouble spotting you all. Unless of course you are in your tux then I could pick you out! My daughter is nine and always looking for friends.

I've been think of her most of the day, I am glad she had a good time. Better to have a small group that actually care for and about her.

Every time I empty a suitcase for another trip, it seems I find a bag of Disney pins. I bet I have loads of them. I thought I was going to collect them, then I thought I would do some kind of shadow box frame with them, but ultimately, they just sit in bags. The only real souvenirs we have that are always out are our pictures.

When my wife was in high school she used to collect pins from every place she'd been. After graduating she went over to Holland for a year on a student exchange and that May I went over and joined her, and for a month we toured Europe. She took my black denim jacket with her and put all of her pins on that. As we were touring Europe we kept adding to the pins.

The tradition of buying pins at places we have been continues to this day. But now they are on a corkboard in our rec room for all to see.

In 1995 we went to DL for her first time and we bought a couple of pins. Each time we have gone to DL or WDW now we seem to bring back more and more pins. There is now a corkboard under the one I mentioned above in a wall in our rec room that I painted the frame black and she decorated with gold mickey faces that holds all of our Disney pins. We aren't traders as we tend to only buy pins that have some meaning to us.

But the corkboard on the wall works great for us to display the pins and it is easy to put them up when we get back from vacation. Our "places" corkboard is getting a little full and is in need of some reorganization - one of these days ...
