Thats good hes doing better. Anemia isnt uncommon with post op open hearts. We always tell our patients when we discharge them to weigh themselves at the same time daily to watch the fluid. They probably gave him some diuretics, just watch his potassium. Banana for breakfast.....oh no,run bobby run LOL

Yes, they gave me a script for potassium...THEY ARE HUGE!! I have to cut them in half for him.

Well, my nap was cut short by a friend calling, then I couldn't fall back asleep and got up to do a bit of cleaning. Now I've wasted too much time and have to jump in the shower. Grocery shopping will have to wait until after I pick up Tyler. He can help.......he loves Super Walmart for some crazy reason.

I'll make it work! I can always pop down the hall for a couple seconds here and there and peek my head out on the aft deck 7. We're only 2 doors down from it, and I'd be sure to let him know from day 1 that if he ever wakes up from a nap and doesn't see me, that's where I am. He's a smart kid and would be OK with that as long as I show him where it is. But I wouldn't do that for longer than a minute or two anyway. I think that would be OK since we're right there so close.

holly, I'm not sure but do baby monitors work on the ship? if so ou could put one in the cabin and hang out on the secret deck, close enough to get to him quickly if anything happened, but not stuck in the room. not sure if they work, but it's an option.

As they say.....Great Minds and all, you know! Since Holly is willing to lend Tyler out, we can probably count on him to help us with our deliveries. YEAH! What fun for all of us!

Theres no problem with us taking him too day or night if need be so Holly can do some single things, she knows that too.I know he would love to help you girls pass stuff out.Tell him its a secret pirate mission! He'll probably want to wear his pirate costume!

Kind of cheesy to send one puny little valentine all the way to FL, but he had leftovers from his class, sent some to his cousins out of town, and told me he wanted to send one to Bethany too. He'd picked out the Tinkerbell ones to give to girls and POC to give boys. I asked him if he remembers that Tinkerbell is Bethany's favorite and he told me he does. He said, "Remember her bedroom mom?" He told me he thought it looked like a fairy tale castle.

So anyway, he just wanted to send a little love her way!

Well she loves getting mail and that was cute.
Well her new thing is the play Cats. We took her to see the play in Jan when it was here. She now has the video and has memorized all the songs and dances to it daily.I need to get her into dance or drama somewhere. Now she wants to do her room in Cats but I just cant get rid of the Tinkerbell especially since I spent so much time on that room.

Couple things and then I REALLY need to finish packing.

My kids love pins, and that is a great idea about getting some on Ebay to trade. Will do that right away!

Another thing I just thought of that totally made me smile...I was thinking about all the DISers that won't be on board and will be tracking our cruise. I remember being so excited, watching the Magic go through the canal. I was on at all hours - and saw it live through the webcam. I remember thinking how excited I was and could only imagine what it was like to be on board....and now we will be!!!!

There's actually a wonderful website: www.mousepinsonline.com that's having a sale right now for the month of February! You can buy the hidden Mickey pins for $2 each or there's a grab bag where you can choose how many you want for $1.75! We've done both options!!! But my girls love knowing what they're gone to get and then we'll do a small grab bag for trading!!!

We used to try and buy them off e-bay but this became much cheaper!!! Happy pin trading!!!!

I'm down! Love mall walking. Taylor is very excited about monday. She had a playdate yesterday and a different one today and was telling both girls about her monday playdate. Tomorrow, we are spending time at home cleaning and getting the house ready, so we have no worries on monday. Plenty of time.

Just remember to use a full glassof water with those. They can really do damage to the esphagus if they aren't washed down and diluted well. Is he on Lasix (furosemide) too? Give them together. If he is on digoxin he will need to maintain a normal Potassium level to prevent further cardiac problems. Folic acid is important too. Is Iron deficiency anemia the only type of anemia he has? If the Cardiologist is still following him I am sure he will be fine.

If you do, I have a 13yog who would be SO thrilled to get one. She's trying to collect them but we make her buy most of them herself, so she usually only get one per trip. It's going slow and she never trades them because she's so attached to every one!

Hey I jotted your info down in my ever growing cruise plans notebook! I think a pin or two could find its way to Alison this cruise! I really like the idea that something I have just sitting around could make someone else happy.

We took a bottle of wine we made for a server from a prev. cruise to try. He LOVED getting that and told us that he did NOT share it with his friends. We also gave our stateroom hostess last year half a bottle of wine on the last evening that we did not finish. Next morning she told us she drank it all herself and was a bit tipsy but loved it. I think they party on their off hours.

LOL - I gave ours a new bottle of champagne once and didn't see him the rest of the night! Now - if I have alcohol - I make sure to leave it in the room on disembarkation day -

I am trying to find pirate outfits for the girls still, I asked Samantha what she liked....it has to come with boots, she said!

My son who is 4 now had always been scared to wear costumes for some reason. He would fight me on putting one on for Halloween. He finally the last year or so is ok with them......as long as they are Power Rangers. After Halloween this past year I bought a captain Jack one from the Disney store and I was hoping he would be ok with it. When the box got here I took it out of the bag and showed him. I said "do you want to wear this for a Pirate Party"? He said ok we gonna go on Disney Cruise Line! So while not really "authentic" looking my son will be in costume. Now to find something for me!

Well the good news is yes! The bad news is we are looking on ebay! They had cute mexican dresses for kids I have been eyeing and then some nice tops and dresses in adult sizes. The only thing is to me the clothes do not look as dressy as we are "supposed" to be for dinner. I suppose I have read so many others saying they are dressing up that night that I hope we fit in.
