Oh I'm so glad to hear this PJ.....it makes me think I'm going to love them when I can wear them. I know I have the Capri and I don't remember what the other one is. It's not the Athens......so it's gotta be a Cleo or Adara??? Not sure. But now I can't wait to put them on and go walking.

I'll probably still wear my pink tink slippers on the boat. You can catch them on after dinner at night and first thing waking up in the morning. Usually during the day I'm wearing flip flops......now they'll be crocs. Thanks PJ!

everyone makes me want to try a pair....last time I was at costco I saw them...should of bought a pair to try...especially for all the walking in the parks:goodvibes

woa....just sat down...my mom stopped over with tons of snacky things for the girls.....Barbie Island Princess poptarts, etc! She also brought Haley's bday gifts and some of the boutique dresses she got them! WOW, Samantha has two ballroom type with a shawl. THey are so pretty. She got them for under $30!

She's doing pretty well. She was very busy at work this week getting her guys ready for their company trip to Cabo (the one she got to go down there and do research for last summer). She still has a little trouble talking about it, as I'm sure she will for some time. She still has Jose's mare to love on for now, so that will help.
.

I didn't know she lost her horse:sad2: I'm so sorry...I hope Peg will be ok:hug:

Deb, on the croc flips, I have both the Athens, which are all rubber, and two pair of the Capri, which have a fabric upper. I prefer the Capri to the Athens just easier on the toes. I also have two pair of Cleo and really like them, but my feet swell more in them when at WDW from all the walking, but they will be great on the ship.

I am going to check out the Adara when I get to MCO in May.

Pj

I just checked the site.....I have one Athens and one Capri. I'm gonna love them. I looked at the Cleo and the Adara.....both nice, but no toe thong.....different......I think I like the Adara better, but already have two new ones so I'm good for now. I'll check your feet out everytime I see you PJ!!! Ha Ha Ha:laughing:

Whew! that was a close call. I just got back home and want a nap. I'm glad I didn't dump dresser drawers befoe I left.:rotfl2:

rest up and don't do anything to show up the rest of us lazy slugs. You can cook or clean, but not both in one day.:lmao:

We are back from breakfast, time to update our dining partners with DCL and get ready for tonights online action.:surfweb:

Ok-I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. I'm thinking, how can I be so excited to book excursions and Palo's...if I'm this bad for just that, what the heck am I going to be like when it's time to board. Perhaps I'll faint! Good grief.

I'm just hoping I can focus on our company tonight and won't be too preoccupied. We haven't seen these friends in a year and this was a date that worked for all of us...I couldn't say "we're not available...I have to book excursions for our cruise"!!! :lmao: :rotfl:

So, the menu tonight is Italian-100%. Apps will be asiago cheese, salami and crackers; spirella (prosciutto and basil wrapped in mozzarella); and bruchetta with toasted italian bread. Dinner is meatballs and rigatoni with spag sauce, garlic italian bread and salad with italian dressing and goat cheese. Dessert is tiramisu. Beverages are Pelligrino and Chianti (not together of course). Last night I made the meatballs and tiramisu (yum, but sooo fattening after preparing the ingredients-eek). I was up until 1:30am!!! So today all I need to do is get the dining room ready, get the meatballs in the sauce, prepare the salad and make the garlic butter spread for the bread. Other than that I'm set. Wish me luck since I'll be so preoccupied thinking about 9pm PST!!!

Jackie- thanks for the time info and tips on logging in tonight we'll see how it goes:cool1:

your mom gets great deals:goodvibes

Lisa - what time should we arrive? That sounds so GOOD@!!!!!

I am pretty excited too....I hope I am not all thumbs when the witching hour strikes!

Is anyone doing the De Palm Beach in Aruba? Or does anyone have any info on it?

I don't know. I think Jackie may have said something about that beach. I don't know if that was the one cruisecritic didn't like that much ...it was on the first thread I think so can't look it up:confused3

Check tripadvisor and cruisecritic, I do not think that beach gets good reviews.

Krisann- this might be helpful...they state that if you just want a beach day Aruba is easy to set up yourself.

Yep this is the one the got mixed reviews. The 'water park' that is mentioned is very much a 'kiddie' version, not something for all ages. The lunch provided got bad reviews. Look around cruisecritic, there is a very knowledgable poser there with lots of info. She recommends Palm Beach and taking a taxi to the Radisson area and doing it on your own. I also have 'Wyndham" written in my old notes, don't know if that's the same beach, but it was also mentioned as a resort in a good beach area. Sorry my note aren't more complete, as I was only casually looking at Aruba stuff because I plan to SNUBA there instead of doing a DCL excursion.

What is a scotchmallow?

Sounds like it should be a marshmallow infused with whiskey.

Scotchmallow is a two layered round chocolate that See's makes. The top later is marshmallow and the bottow layer is caramel. It's then draped in chocolate...YUMMM!!!!!

I'm now desperately trying to think of something suitable from where I live. No foodstuffs, well not that we'd be allowed to bring into the US. (Local delicacy is (f)aggots and peas! - I've had to put the brackets in, it wouldn't accept the word otherwise! :rotfl2: They are a bit like a meatball.)

Do you think the CMs are football fans? We live a mile from the Molineux, home of Wolverhampton Wanderers football club.

Since the majority of the CM's are not from the US your football is something they would assocoate with and probably miss. I hear 'football' is a very popular sport worldwide. In fact, our Asst. Serv. was from a past cruise was very excited to go to the Med last year and see the big "football' arena in Barcelona. To me that was not what I thought of when planning for Barcelona.

Sorry Jackie, no trip to Phoenix this time (chocolate wasn't motivating enough lol.. Lately Jelly Belly's are the big motivator, no fat or caffine)

ok we are just wanting to do the beach, some snorkling, etc. for the day. Is it common to get a room at one of the hotels? I see that Marriott has one too and I have enough points for a room.

Any comments???

Krisann

Anyone read 'The Path Batween the Seas'? I am trying, but it is a hard slog. I imagine some may really love it. I am thinking of skipping to the building part and see if that is a help, but I really am thinking I am going to give up on it.

I couldn't hack it...it was too boring for me!

Are we no longer doing a couples brunch? Just doing it on our own?

When I faxed the list to request ladies tea and couples tea, they called me back and basically said it's impossible to accommodate our requests and they suggested that we all book individually for the same date. So we're all doing ladies tea on 5/18. We did not pick a date for couples tea because if we're doing the ladies tea we can't reserve more than once in advance. We'll wait until we're on the boat to book the couples tea. If you would like we can set a date and everyone can try to get the same date. Pick one!

Jackie- thanks for the time info and tips on logging in tonight we'll see how it goes:cool1:

Fingers crossed for everyone!

Woody....Peg told me about the card and photo you kids sent...she loved it!

Well, I got the kitchen cleaned up, but HAD to come back here and check in. Now I have a pile of mail to go through and then a nap may be in order.

....later kids....
