Congratulations on the newest addition to your family! How wonderful!Happy New Year!! We just got home from a CNY party. Our family also gets to participate in the fun by association.
My nine-almost 10-year old DD is not Asian, but our two youngest were adopted from China. We have been home with our 4 year old just 1 week today! (That is why I am just now getting back on the boards--the past several months have been very busy with paperwork and preparation for travel.)
Try to find some time to rest. I know it's hard with all that everybody has going on in your family, but try!12:30 here now. I am so tired!!
Daniel made it home safe, but he will go back tomorrow after bowling, so I will hardly see him.
Gretchen has dance shows all weekend.
To busy for words....

I don't know how people could think you're nuts for taking your other children with you, that's such a great experience you gave them by taking them with you. Wonderful! Thanks! Our daughters are from Jiangxi and Guizhou provinces. How wonderful that you were able to go with your sister. On both our trips to China, my husband's sister traveled with us as we took our other children along both times. She was great for practical help and moral support!
So many people have thought we were nuts for taking our children with us, but just like this cruise, how could we pass up the opportunity to give them that experience? They are all great travelers and great kids too!
Good morning Marilyn! You're not alone now! But I'll be headed back to bed shortly.

Gina, you won't need to put them in for online booking. Since you are confirmed as CC members then your reservation will open to allow booking at midnight Sunday, 15 hours from now, lol.
That CC club online is just to get access to that section of the website, nothing to do with on-line booking, don't worry.

Carol,
Sometimes I sit here and tell myself it would. I won't go into any details, but on some days I have become that unhappy at work. The demands keep growing, the pressure keeps building, and the respect keeps diminishing. It is very hard though after 31 years to think about this.
Go to the online check-in section - mine has the forms grayed out and says available 2/10/08. If the date is different then the CC number has not been applied (I saw this on the main board a couple of days ago as a way to check).
No Eastcoasters up yet? I'm lonely here!!!![]()
Welcome Steve! Sorry to hear about what your former GF did. What a crummy thing to do! You're absolutely right that it's her loss. Welcome aboard to you and your sons!Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself as I just signed up to this board.
This will be the third time that my sons and I have sailed on the magic. First was on the last west coast visit, then the Eastbound TA, and now we are looking forward to the Westbound PC trip. I just put down the final payment yesterday so I am now starting to plan the trip for real! What will make this trip much more memorable will be that my sons and I will be doing it without any other family members on board this time and without a girlfriend in tow. I paid for the GF's TA trip and when she got back, she said she could not take living with my sons anymore and split. (her loss) I guess I will just have to explore the "singles" lunches this time on board. Both my sons are moderate to severely developmentally delayed and have autism. Those on the EB TA may remember them as the two biggest kids (now 23 & 21) in the Oceaneer Lab running around with the 12year olds and having a blast. With luck the captain will allow them to join the other kids again and I can have some time to relax too. If not, then we will be doing a lot of walking while at sea. If anyone hears that they are dropping the "3rd in the room" price like they did on the TA, please let me know.
Look forward to meeting everyone, hopefully before the sailing date, but if not then on board.
Steve
I have been looking without sucess. Does anyone have a schedule on events for the cruise, like what nights are the formal nights, Pirates Night. This would help in making plans tonight.
Thanks in Advance!
Just a drive by - Things are going good here.
Welcome to the newcomers!
Congrads on the adoption!
And what was Calmom's decision? Upgrading? Going?
Thanks Marilyn! Tyler's school is closed on Monday, so although I'm thrilled to have an extra day to spend with him, I'm going to sleep as much as I can today so I'll be full of energy to keep up with him Sunday and Monday. I'm hoping for fresh snow today and tomorrow so we can go sledding one of those days and/or build a new snowman!Have a lovely lie in Holly and recharge the batteries!
Okay, so this is what I mean. I don't mean to be ignorant, but what do you mean? What's PM? (I feel really stupid!)
ME TOO! I'll be worrying and wondering about her decision all day until we find out.I hope Calmom and family are coming!![]()
So there are 2 formal nights? Yikes, I'll have to go shopping. I know for some, including my dd, that sounds delightful, but for me it's incredibly stressful! If I could only lose a bunch of weight before this cruise......(It seemed like it would be so easy a year ago....)
No, this Monday the teachers just have some sort of administrative day. The following Monday is Presidents Day. Not happy about having to lose TWO days of pay so close together, but not much choice. At least the child care service at school will be open for spring break in April, so that's a relief. I just wish they were open ALL days that school is closed. Is it Presidents Day Monday?
