I'm just buying bigger clothes!

Speaking of which, I had a Lands End order delivered yesterday. And not a single thing fitted me. I'm sure their sizings have gone all wrong and are no longer reliable. Bit like happened with M&S here years ago.

I always worry about that with mail order. Used to get a lot for the kids, but now I won't even order for Molly.

This e-mail has just been sent out at my work. Looks like my DIS-ing is about to be seriously curtailed. The annoying thing is that I don't even work for this company, we're just based on their site and use their computer systems.

that is worded in such a way I'd almost think it was an April Fool's Day joke. But it stinks to have big brother tell you what to do, huh? Even if it is at work

OK, the bad news is.....I gained back 7 lbs and holding since quitting smoking. The good news is that I don't need new clothes and can use my already packed suitcase. The bad news is I can't wear my two new dresses and have to wear my old ones again. The good news is I still have more time to see if it stays the same or changes. I'm still on the diet so who knows if I'll start losing again or not. Can you tell that this weight thing has got me very confused.

I can't believe how easily the weight came off before quitting smoking and how I gained and am staying there since quitting. Smoking really does change your metabolism.

Deb, don't get too discouraged. I'm not a good one to talk on this (as I've fallen back into my box of Sees candies) but keep up the good work and you will find the way back to lost again

Actually, it's just that the souffle is almost 'too much' after a meal....BUT on it's own, a couple hours after dinner, with some Rosa Regale....NOW THAT'S A DIFFERENT STORY!

Speaking of the men's surgery - When my dd was in kindergarden we had a puppy that we had neutered. We told dd that we didn't want any puppies. A few weeks later my dh had the surgery. My dd asked why her dd couldn't walk and he told her the truth that we were not going to have anymore children. My dd went to school and told everyone that her dad had been neutered. He was so embrassed.

I just got back from my work meeting. It went well - I did get an extra bonus, but not quite as big to cover the call I got today....

They called for Cat. 1!!!!

Arggg....I have until 5pm tomorrow. I just can't seem to figure this out - we wouldn't be able to pay it all outright, so that makes me think we should say no. But then I imagine being in that wonderful suite for 15 nights with my family.

I think this might give me some levage to make the cruise at least work - my bonus will cover our 2 cat 9's final payment. But still....

Cat. 1......arggg......think of the DIS parties!! I hope someone is still awake to talk me through this!!! Or waking up!

My husband just asked how much the blue book is for our van. It is how our kids get to school every day. He said they could just walk. LOVE It that he is thinking about it now!

Just read that to DH and he responded...makes you think. Gee, I wish I could figure this one out.

We are going to Tahoe over President's week and I called our ownership place and they are going to try to rent it. It is a lot per night ($1100) so if they can rent it, there is some more $$. But still, I know we coudl use that money for other things and events and vacations. If nothing else, maybe knowing we saved the money on Cat. 1 will make it easier to move forward with the cruise in general. Maybe that is why it is being available to us...because really we are very close to canceling given DH's work schedule and recent slow down. But if my bonus covers the cat. 9's, perhaps I should just focus on getting us on the ship. I don't know. I do wish we could be in the Cat. 1. It seems like such incredibly luck to have it offered. Is there anyone on board that wants it if we don't take it? Is Noel out there???

Prayers needed:

I know many people have heard about the tornadoes that hit Tennessee. I live in Jackson - which is where the college (Union University) is that got destroyed.

I belong to one of the local Family and Community Education Clubs (also known as a homemakers club) and we just got word this morning that two members lost their homes in the tornado as well as one of the extension agents in the office that overseas our clubs and 4-H. Also a friend of mine had 3 employees loose their homes in the tornado.

This is the 3rd major hit with deaths that we have had in the past 9 years (Jan 1999, May 2003, Feb 2008) and we are still rebuilding from the 2003 hit in some areas and now this. Please just keep our town (and other towns affected) in your prayers.

Yes, we did in Jan 07. It was incredible. I was like crying the last day - it was so beautiful.

But then I think about when we moved back in 05. We had bought our new house, but it didn't close in time. We had already found renters for our old house. So we were basically homeless for about 10 days. We had everything in a moving van (I think 2) and went to live in the "Grand Hotel" on El Camino Real, which was anything but Grand. But our kids...they just loved it. They loved being in the small room together, loved sharing a bedroom. I don't know. I know Cat. 1 would be awesome and everything, and if I did have the money hanging around I would do it in a heart beat. But I guess I don't need that...it is just so hard as I had been on the waiting list since before the dates opened. Argg...Lisa

Okay, so I only had 435 posts to scan through to catch up from yesterday. WHEW!

So, I still have a small cold, it is going to snow again today and then we are suppose to get a little sun.

But then, I woke up this morning and I have NO VOICE! Guess it is from all the coughing I have been doing.

Anyway, I'm here at work, hopefully, no one needs to talk to me. Good thing is....I can be a really good listener today!

See, now my theory goes like this.....how many MORE Disney Cruises could I take if I didn't upgrade? My vote.....stay where you are at and take some more family cruises in the future!

There are a bunch of us that are doing the July 27th 7 night because it will be the 10th anniversary of the maiden voyage of the Magic on July 30th. Plus, our friend, Michael, will be celebrating his 40th birthday on July 30th also. We keep telling DCL that they need to do something special on that cruise to celebrate 10 years of Magic! You should join us. There is a thread going for that cruise on the boards.

That is the actual cruise I was thinking about doing. For one my birthday is the 28th and two it is close to the end of vacation for the kids so a last hurrah sorta thing. I am thinking about it and might book this weekend.

Hi everyone,
This is to let you know I am still alive and bring
you up to date with what has been happening after my latest round of hospital visits.
***** have ruled out the idea of taking more cells from ***** so
that is the end of the matter as far as they are concerned and I will
not be going there any more. I will continue for now having blood
transfusions as needed at the *****. On average I need three
pints every ten days or so and have been there today for three. This
cannot continue for long because a surplus of iron builds up in the body
and affects the heart and liver so they are monitoring that closely at
the moment. Other than that it is a case of staying at home and waiting
for a departure slot. Neither consultant would give me a likely time
span but both are very happy to sign a declaration for my life insurance
company declaring that I am unlikely to survive twelve months so that
gives an indication. I have no resistance to infection and no ability to
fight anything I pick up so it is likely to be a cold or something
relatively simple that sees me off. There is no other course of
treatment open to me so nothing much is going to suddenly change. I am
sure ***** will let you know the arrangements when the time comes.
***** and ***** seem to be coping well and life at home goes on pretty
much as normal for now. I still feel o.k most days and when the weather
is decent I can walk a couple of miles or so with no great problem so I
am just looking forward to the Spring when I can sit out in the garden
and do whatever I am able to in the way of gardening.
I hope you are all well at the moment and thanks to all for your efforts
whilst I was in hospital.

I hope no-one minds me posting this, but it's an e-mail that my DB has sent to our other DB, DSis and myself. I've used the *** for privacy.

Could you please send him and his DW, DS27 and DS13 prayers or pixie dust. I cannot begin to imagine how they are coping.
