I didn't know you could or I would have gone sooner! 3 cruises so far and have not had a single choclate souflle yet!!!

You know, I have only had coffee and drinks there. I think there is only 4 bar stools. They say they don't serve any desserts, but if you tip them they will do anything.

I would love to try one night!!

All caught up now! After I posted about my horrible internet connection, it straightened up and I haven't lost it since. Strange.

Horrible day for Tyler today. Tiring day for me. Migraine down to a dull throb, so that's good. Whole body is sore from shoveling, but wanted to help the neighbors. The woman right next door to me just had shoulder surgery a couple months ago, so I don't want her shoveling. And on the other side of her is an 80 year old man who I definitely don't want shoveling, but he'll do it so he can get his car out, so many of us in the neighborhood try to beat him to it. He got a kick out of Tyler shoveling his driveway last storm. The woman neighbor was just so happy, but I kept telling her once I did mine, it's really nothing to just keep going down the sidewalk. And that's the truth! Plus, I knew it would be a great workout, so I was happy for the opportunity! And if we get that 12 more inches, I might just have another chance tomorrow morning for an extra workout before work!

OK....I'm going to go watch the rest of Lost, or at least until I fall asleep. Will catch up tomorrow after work! Goodnight!

Here's a silly question...
what do the current CC cards look like? I put both sets in the same place and now I don't know which is the current one. I think it is the blue one with the flag, right? The others will make their way to a scrapbook box! (notice I did not say book since I just dream about scrapping these days )

mine is kinda brown in color I think. It's on my desk paperclipped to my ressie paperwork.

Hey are any of you from the west coast planning on doing the Mexican 7 day cruise while it is in California? I was thinking I may book a week since they are here so close to me. It is easier since I am in California and cheaper since I can drive to port. I also have passes to Disneyland, Sea World and the Wild animal park and San Diego Zoo. Would be a low cost vacation as far as the land portion for me. So anyone planning on one or considering it? Oh and it visits a port our cruise does not that is a bonus!

naw, just kidding. Molly and Wil are going away to camp for 2 weeks and Paul and I can have our first vacation alone in 11 years. Sad part is camp is happening during Molly's bday. I'm thinking that I want to try to appear with a cake on that day. We'll see, they don't like parent visits at this camp...

Update on the IChat problem. We took the laptop into the Apple Store today and with a very minor network change IChat hooked up just fine on their network. Got it home with no changes other than being on our WI-FI network and the same old problem. So it seems to be somewhere between our DSL modem and our ISP.

Tomorrow I will try and find another WI-FI hookup and see what happens.

That was my guess Carol. Doug told me you had a proxy server on your network. I am not a network guy, and don't know for sure what that is, but I don't have one. I remembered Doug telling me it worked somewhere else and that was the major clue. Good luck getting it fixed, with ATT, I end up talking to someone in India reading from a script, and they know LESS than I do. I gave up on their support a long time ago . . .

mom to Matthew 12 and abbey 5 and of course dh CLiff....we live in tampa and this will be our 6th cruise and let me tell you I am not prepared at all. Just made final payment....i have no clue how we are getting to the port...did not reserve palo's....what night do you think i should...if there are any left, what am i missing things i need to do...i am usually so OCD with our trips but not this time...now I am feeling stressed!!

we are in a cat 5 by the way...just incase anyone wanted to know.

Well we went to see the HM movie tonight...520 show on a Wed night and it was almost sold out, Crazy!!! Anyway, I was hysterical at the dad portion of the movie...John I bet you would be out there running in high heels for Sophia, wouldn't you? Jaide and Taylor both got upset with Scott and asked him why he didn't do that for them...he had to try and explain to them that that contest was in Texas or somewhere like it. He said if they had done it here he would have done it for them. Great contest idea though!

Hi everybody! Had a long post typed, but lost my connection. I think because of the storm, it won't stay on longer than a few seconds at a time, so I won't be able to catch up tonight.

The gist of that long post was: long day, pounding migraine, bad storm, 8 inches fell between 10am and 6pm, got stuck many times while driving because the snow was higher than my bumper, stuck in my driveway and had to dig my car out after shoveling for an hour, 12 more inches predicted overnight. If that happens, that will be the most snow I've ever seen in my life! I know, that's normal for the upstate NY folks and for Deb, but shocking to me! Might have to ask Tyler's dad & stepmom if I can ride with them to the psychologist appt. tomorrow since they have the Chevy Trailblazer!

Will try to catch up as long as my internet connection allows. Started watching Lost last night (the recap one before the season opener) but only got about 1/2 way through before falling asleep.

Wow. Must be the temperature difference of just several hours South. We had torrential rain all day, and most of the day yesterday. I kept thinking if that were snow (like before the global warming) that we would be BURIED. There is actually flooding going on around here.

You can send me a PM if you want, but I would advise going up the administrative ladder on this, to your school district Superintendent, and then further to your Board of Education. We have posted a lot about stressing the educational nature of this trip, and in my mind, any rational school district would see that. Especially when your son is a good student, they should be willing to discuss with you making educational opportunities out of this trip rather than punishment.

This is coming from a school Board President.

I would also recommend asking about an independent study. Unfortunately many schools rely on attendence for their funding. An IS counts the student as present and they get their money so they are happy. Good luck!
