Ok I am going to post this for the late night crew and then one time during the day for the skimmers out there. I will be solo pretty much as far as adult activities and I do have some late night buddies lined up BUT.... is there anyone out there who might want to buddy up with me so I can try Palos but not be alone doing it? I have never ate there and would really like to get brunch and dinner and tea in but not all alone. I don't mind being a third or fourth wheel either.

Oh wait were we all supposed to try for a certain day for tea right? I might have that wrote down somewhere.

My theory....If you book it, they will come. Also just posting you rwillingness to 'share' someone's bookings works (I advertised and got an invite) PLUS, I think once we are on board, we can always pair up (or group up) and get waitlisted for seatings too.

Tea is 5/18.

Hey Mar. Funny you should ask this tonight, as last night I asked DH about what kind of Palo's he wanted to do with our dinning group. He said all of them with the group is fine. Group, we need to pick the dates and being the control freak I am, I'll book for us and then we can have a conference call to confirm ok? I'll email ya tomorrow from my desk and we can ge the dates in line for what we want when ok?

Now, Mar, since we have 5 adults, would you like to round out our party and join us for Palos? I think it would be no problem. I figure we will have to talk with them on the ship to make this happen, but I can also include you in the date(s) chatter with us on email tomorrow if you want. Let me know.

i am sad they did away with the lanyards....i thought the passport holders we got on the transatlantic were ok but i am hoping for something i can use more often this cruise...did castaway club members get these passport holders on all the med cruises last summer?

I just read a trip report where he was mentioned as a server there. Don't remember the dates of the report, but I know I read it recently.

I thought I'd read that he'd been promoted. We had a Marco as our head server in October. He had black hair, was not terribly tall and fairly thin, and had an italian accent you would almost think made up. He was our best head server to date, and special ordered things for us we didn't know possible (pastries for my nut allergic child every am among others).

Can I just vent? I HATE SNOW, I HATE SNOW, I HATE SNOW.

It is snowing again. I am sick of driving in the snow, shoveling the snow, and just looking at snow.

I will take your snow if you will take our tornadoes! We just got hit big time for the 3rd time in 9 years. It was 75 here yesterday and I knew that was not good at all.

I must admit, my goal is to have my last PC scrapbook completed by the time I get on this cruise. I mean, it's only been almost 3 years, so what's the hurry. Actually, it is two full books and I'm actually down to the last sea day after Cabo, so I'm just about there. A co-worker and I made a goal at the first of the year to go to one Friday night crop at least once each month so we can actually focus on our scrapbooks! Went in January and now I'm planning on going on the 15th for February! Then my PC book should be done! If they weren't so big and heavy I would bring them along but I know I won't have room in my luggage!

I am getting into digital scrapbooks and plan to work on mine while we are on board and then ordering the book so it will be there shortly after we arrive home! Maybe this way I will actually get a scrapbook done!

I was shocked at the number of people I saw crying when we got off our first cruise. I really did not expect to see so many. I knew I would be all teary but didnt think others would be.

So that is why my hubby fit in so well when we were getting off - only he was crying because of his gallbladder attack.

I don't think I could be that close to the DCL busses. Even on our last cruise I wanted to go get on the bus then and not go to WDW the few days before the cruise. I felt like "I want to be there . . and not here" - I could not imagine seeing the busses on a regular basis!

Just go to Palo and ask if you can sit at the bar and have a souffle. Order a glass of port to go with that! Yummer!!

Can you really do that? I really would rather just go for that than dinner - we really enjoyed the brunch and tea the most and then we enjoy the dessert for dinner with some RR.

I just got back from my work meeting. It went well - I did get an extra bonus, but not quite as big to cover the call I got today....

They called for Cat. 1!!!!

Arggg....I have until 5pm tomorrow. I just can't seem to figure this out - we wouldn't be able to pay it all outright, so that makes me think we should say no. But then I imagine being in that wonderful suite for 15 nights with my family.

I think this might give me some levage to make the cruise at least work - my bonus will cover our 2 cat 9's final payment. But still....

Cat. 1......arggg......think of the DIS parties!! I hope someone is still awake to talk me through this!!! Or waking up!

Sure I would love to join your group! I was wondering if I needed to wait another cruise for Palos. Although I read you can come into the bar and sit so I was thinking I could do that too.

So would I have to book the same time and date as you all decide on or would you link my ressie to you and then you book me into yours? I have no idea how the dining thing works as I have never done Palos bookings before.

I would be tempted and I just don't do things like that...

I know...I mean this is KARMA. Yes, it is more. We currently owe $6,000. We would owe $16,000 (I think - I haven't got the quote from today. Will they honor the 10% on board ship discount? They did for our Jan cruise in Cat. 1 but then they said that was a mistake, but still honored it. I left a message, but she was already gone (East coast time). She said she will hold it until 5pm tomorrow) . That is a heck of a lot more money....argg....
