Hi All you experts out there

Been to Disney 5 time before and always been with Virgin bar 1. I have looked into booking independently but cannot seem to find a flight for less than £600 going out 17th May next year. Do any of you think it it best to book through an agent as cheaper than booking independently..Any ideas greatly welcomed...Also what is May like to go, only ever been Sep/Oct/Nov
Thanks very much Nicky

Mine was cheaper through BA holidays

total cost was £1254 for 2 adults for 10 nights, this included 10 nights at All Star and return flights with BA

tried the same but booking separate
Flights £954 with taxes
Hotel £550

Total - £1504
Saving by booking with Agent- £250 :wizard:

we normally go to WDw in May, we never pay the amount you have quoted and we always fly virgin(booked DIY).remember that the nearer you get to the end of May is the school half term, when flight prices leap up!!, we always go around the 11th/12th mark because of this.

May is our favorite time to go, queues minimal(some walk on), weather hot not humid, park opening hours are great.

Thanks Julie. So do you book your flights with virgin seperate and then your accommodation and car sep also. How far in advance do you book.
I was thinking of going a week and a half before H/T which is about the 12th May.

Just wonder when to book and who with??? Thanks for your help. :)

If its a family holiday I always book 11 months in advance(flydrive), then book my accomodation seperate.
if its a quick week visit, I book approx 8 weeks before(prefer Virgin) have done charter but prefer virgin(baggage allowance, service etc).
Im lucky in the respect that i work for Disney so get some good discounts on the onsite hotels.
I have a friend who is an indepedant travel agent(doesnt sell or push certain holiday companies flights, if you want PM me and i will give you contact details), I have yet to beat her prices she gets for flights.

Hi

We went in May 2004. The weather was hot around 30-34. The crowds were ok. Some rides 10 mins and the popular rides i.e Splash Mountain and hour. Great time to go. Prefer Oct only because of Halloween. May and Oct is my fav time to go.

We are going next May out on the 26th from LGW with Virgin for a 21night stay and booked via funway holidays (who use Virgin flights) I saved at least £600.00 on my overall booking for a family of 2 adults and 3 children. (Flydrive) even with using my 10% discount with Virgin Holidays direct. I asked our local Thomas Cook to see if they would price match but they could not come down as far as our quote, so do shop around. As regards to accommodation we managed to find a great villa as follows:-

holidaylettings co uk
Property id:5751

We stayed at this villa this year and rebooked again for next year as soon as we got home.

British Airways Holidays (direct) are also offering good flights for next May, I think they were around 2178 for 2 adults and 3 children.

I hope you find a bargain soon. :)

Doh ..... You will never guess what I forgot to do when calculating my virgin holiday, add the 10% FVC discout. I have now managed to calculate the following, virgin flights for the 4 of us plus 14 nights at the Sheraton Safari in LBV plus a fully insured car for 2 weeks and 14 day hopper for us all, with discount came in at £3224. WOW..... I have to book don't I.????? :cool1: :cheer2:
