Maxpass and third party tickets, what to do before trip

I have 8 LMTC vouchers for 5 day park hoppers for our trip next week. I intend to get maxpass as well.

Our group consists of me (43) DW (40) DS (10) DS (5) Grandpa, Nephew (20), Niece (18), Niece (13)

Most days, all 8 will be together, but there are days where we will breakup or go at different times. My family of 4 went to Disneyland for the first time last year (WDW many times) before MaxPass went live. We will be arriving on a Thursday afternoon so our first trip will not be a RD.

Any suggestions on what we need to or can do before arriving, or how to handle when we arrive would be much appreciated.

Before you go load the Disneyland App & the tickets to the app. I was able to add the LMT ticket my app with no issues a month or 2 before I left. The make sure you sign into your account on the Disneyland App and have a credit card on File.

If you have the tickets in the ap when you go the paper tickets you are given should already match the ones on your phone. then you just need to purchase Maxpass- be prepared to enter the 3 digit CVC number.

Yes, you will all receive paper tickets after they scan your vouchers (the can scan them either on paper or in the App) on your first entry.

Everyone in your group who has a smartphone and will be allowed to book Maxpasses should download the app. Then you have two options. Everyone logs into the app using your username and password or everyone makes their own accounts and adds their ticket (plus any others they might want to book maxpasses for) into their app. The same ticket can be scanned into multiple different apps so different people can book Maxpasses. Note, though, that the booking rules apply to the ticket regardless of which app you're looking in. So if person A books a maxpass on their phone/app, person B will not be able to book a maxpass for person A until the usual criteria have been satisfied (1.5hrs has passed since last booking etc).
