For the first time my family and I have rented a home at Disney. My parents have decided that they may come down for a couple of days while we are there. We will have room in the house and still be comfortable but my parents will put us over by 2 on the list of maximum guest. Is that exceptable or should we have them get a hotel room?

Vacation homes are licensed by the state to a maximum number of guests for fire and safety, all who have to be declared on the booking form, and an owner exceeding this is at risk of losing their license - it really is for the safety of guests!

I would ask the homeowner. I researched homes quite a bit and a lot of these houses have pull out couches or cots available to accommodate additional guests. (Not sure of state laws though.)

It wouldn't hurt to ask and then you will know for sure if your parents will need a hotel room or not. Good luck!

If the booking form states a specific number then that is the limit.Although homes are generally licenced to accept 2 more than the bedroom number i.e. 4 beds can take 10 -it is the owners decision as to the number they take-they may not wish to use or have pull out beds .

If you have room then I would contact the owner.

I think the best way to know is to ask the owner.

Like Jan has stated usually it is 2 above the # of bedrooms but again that does not hold always because of bunks, 2 living areas, a bunk with a full, cots, etc...

The owner will let you know and also ask about the # of vehicles allowed in the home. In a lot of communities there is no street parking. You do see it but until now there has been no recourse but the rules can change as we all know just to be on the safe side.

Deb is right there are rules in most communities about parking on the street. But I know Indian Creek has what they call overflow parking in the neighborhood. But honestly I have not found that parking place yet. I have driven all over the place and I must have missed it.
But the owner will know the maximum amount of people. If you sneak extra in and do not tell the owner, and they are caught there. The owner can loose thier license. Also that can break your terms and Conditions that you sign with the owner leaving them the options of having you removed from the property for the remainder of your stay. I am sure that would not be a fun option for anyone.
Again as everyone has said talk to the owner I am sure that they will do all that they can to help to accomidate your party as best as they can!
