I was listening to Pete's thoughts on the advertisement of the mattresses in the rooms and it got me thinking. I can see why it may seem a bit tacky but hear me out. A lot of people sleep on horribly uncomfortable beds and don't even realize it. I know the last trip we went to the World it motivated us into a new king size bed. Our king bed at Disney was unbelievable and it gave us the best sleep. When we tried to recreate it when we got home we were not successful. Although our new bed is awesome and a huge improvement over what we had been using, it wasn't exact. I would have loved to have had a chance to get the model and ordering info at the time.

All in all, giving the info to the guests is a nice touch. You rarely get a chance to test drive a new bed so a holiday is a great time to do it. Sure you can walk into a mattress store and feel them out but it's not the same as spending a few nights and really giving it a tryout. From a marketing stand point it is sheer brilliance and a good opportunity for potential buyers to feel out new products.

I think it is ok too. When we stayed at the Four Seasons in Maui there was always information on how to but the mattress/ bedding etc. I guess people must ask alot.

i also think it's ok...

the most comfortable i've ever slept in ever ever, was two years ago in austin texas at the doubletree (right near the university, across from the arena)...
both DD and I agreed that it was the most comfortable bed....and we've slept in very very expensive hotels, but the (relatively inexpensive) doubletree in austin had the most comfortable beds....

when i checked out of the hotel, i asked the receptionist, but she didn't know the brand or anything about the bed..

i even called and wrote the hotel about it but never got the answer...

i would have been so happy to know the brand, cost etc of that bed....
still today i would like to know, as i'd buy it in a heartbeat..

so yes, i like the idea of having the information right there in the room....a nice touch as far as i'm concerned...

I would stay at a hotel just to try the tempur-pedic matress for a few nights.

Someone should open a matress store next to, or in, a hotel. The hotel could have 5 or more rooms with each of the top matresses. :confused3

great idea - even one night would be enough for me to know...

when I stated at the Hotel New York at Disneyland Paris in May, the bed was incredible, never had as good a nights sleep!!

:goodvibes

We actually stayed in a Holliday Inn over by UCF (University of Central Florida) to visit my Bro who lives in Oviedo and found the bed so comfortable. When I got home I called back to ask about the mattress and they told me it was a Jamison Talalay Latex matress.

We bought it and it is the best night's sleep we have ever had!

I would like having the info available to me.
