Say it isn't so! Just checked the DL schedule and it says the Mhorn is closed this Tues and Wed for refurb! Just happens to be the two days I was planning on being in the park. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Anyone know what's going on??

Yeah, I had heard that about the bobsleds, but I thought that was a multi-week refurb, not one that was just for a couple of days. Oh, well. I think I may change our plans so we are in the park on Thurs instead. The 'horn is one of my favorite rides.

I know the matterhorn was getting new bobsleds, maybe they're putting them in now.

Two days isn't enough time to install the new sleds. . . that will come much later on with an extended refurb period.

This mini refurb just appeared on the calendar last week (I posted about it a couple days ago). Looks like they just need to do a little tune-up on the ride and picked what they are hoping is a slow week.

They are getting new bobsleds? This is the first ive heard of this but thats really cool! What are they doing with the old ones?

Others here might have better info, but over on another site there has been much discussion. Some say they are getting completely new bobsleds, totally changed (no more sharing seats). Others say they are just renewing and refreshing the sleds they have, spiffing them up. No one seems to be definitive and there is much arguing on either side.

I've decided I'll believe it when I see it. :rotfl:

And I can't decide if I want the seat-sharing to end. DS is 3 and he did not like Matterhorn, but I don't want to take the possibility of him going on it again soon away, and if they make you sit alone, that will take it away (he's under 40 inches still and of course, only 3).:upsidedow

Oh alright well that makes some sense I guess, but I have to agree.... Believe it when you see it. Either way I think it will be really nice to have something fresh. At the same time I can see where you are coming from with a 3 year old. Hopefully they have a seat in the back kinda like splash mountain where 2 people can sit.
