Ok - I screwed up. I got all excited when I was looking at ticket prices on a particular (reputable) website ....... and I ordered the WRONG tickets!!!!!! UGGGHHHH! So - now I'm trying to make sure that I don't mess this up any further.

I have 5 day passes. If I read everything correctly on MouseSavers, it'll cost me $37.28 per pass (NOT per day) to upgrade from a base ticket to a park hopper. And I can do this anytime within 14 days from first use (since I have passes that are expiring). I have a total of 3 tickets - 2 adults, 1 child. Therefore, the TOTAL cost of upgrading to the PARK HOPPER OPTION is $111.84 (if I upgrade the whole 5 days). And I assume (which I KNOW I should NEVER do!) that I can go to the park on Day 1 and not park hop, and then on Day 2 I can pay to upgrade to park hopping then (although, after I wrote that, it seems that it wouldn't save me anything by doing that!!!!!!!) :bitelip:

A math wiz I am not - please confirm my line of thinking before my DH decides to not let me do any more planning for our trip...... :sad2:

TIA -

Lynne

I think you have it all correct. From the information I've read and been told, you can upgrade at the gate. What I would do is call disney first and make sure but if all else falls when you get there go to the ticket window or guest services.

I know the feeling this is my first trip that I'm planning for 5 adults and 2 children....alot of pressure and responsibility!!...Just relax and breathe it will all work out and be well worth the effort... :goodvibes

Hope you have a great time!!!

You can add hopping after you get there, even at the moment you have arrived at the second park of the day (doing a hop).

The only thing you miss is that portion of the advance purchase discount that would have applied to that portion ($37.) of the ticket price that applies to the hopping option. They use the gate price of what you have versus the gate price of what you want to figure out how much more you need to pay.

There is no advance purchase discount on the addons. It will be a flat $35 plus tax whether she adds it to a two day ticket or a 10 day ticket. The only thing that gets discounted on the advance purchases is the price of the base ticket. All addons ($35 for PH, $45 for MPP, and varying amounts for non expiration) are NOT discounted even when purchased in advance.
