I live in Miami and go to Orlando very often, going often I usually stay in hotels under $70 a night, occasionally we'll stay onsite, but 7 of 10 hotels stays are usually budget.I used to book rooms all the time on Orbitz or Travelocity, but depending on the date of the stay I was paying $45 to $60 for hotels like the Masters Inn which are OK but no big deal.I started using Hotwire and found that for that same price range you get much nicer hotels. In my opinion you have to trust their system where you don't see the hotel until after you book. One example is I've stayed several times at the Hyatt Place outside Universal that has a huge flat screen TV's with high definition, the rooms are all newly redesigned and very clean with a nice breakfast,I've gotten this hotel at $45 several times,if you go to their website it's like $129 a night. That's just an example,I don't always use Hotwire for example on my last trip I saw very few hotels at good prices and most didn't have breakfast so I booked the Sleep Inn by Sea World on Travelocity for $53.Very nice hotel, extremely clean, only downside was the breakfast area was small and had few options.
