Any reviews for this property? We are looking for a budget hotel close to Disney, clean & safe. We do not want to do Priceline.

Any better "cheap" hotels out there?

We will probably purchase Entertainment book and be able to use Ent rate at some hotels.

The hotels that universally get horrible reviews are Days Inn, Knights Inn and Masters Inn. Basically older, unrenovated, mildew, worn properties.

PL is really the way to go if you want lowest pricing. Since PL is not an option I suggest you pay a few more dollars. In exchange you'll get a newer CLEAN property, maybe even with some type of breakfast included.

You can check this site (and mousesavers.com) for special discounted rates on hotels that meet reasonable standards.

Rodeway Inn Maingate East
Used to be Howard Johnson's Maingate East but the sold half to Rodeway Inn. Very nice area. Publix, Walgreens, Racetrac (like 7- eleven), Waffle House, IHOP, Water mania, and other stuff in walking distance. Free shuttle bus to parks. What's the price?
Drum Roll********************$26.95 +tax anight. That's $395.21 for my 12 night trip with tax and fees.

1-877-424-6423. This rate is the internet special. There a box on the web site you scrool down "internet rate" is on the bottom where you can't see of course.
Let me know if you have any questions.:) :) :)

Has anyone actually stayed at this Masters Inn?
I am looking for information specific to this hotel.

It's a low end (1-2*) budget hotel. Hotels either drop the price or spend $$$ on major renovations. Read Barry's Travelodge review. This hotel is no better. There were reviews posted a while ago that were similar to Barry's review. Basically the very cheap hotels (Days Inn, Knight, Masters) are all about the same.

Bump this post enough and a shill for the property may post an OK review.

Look at the price. What do you expect?

Generally, I agree, you get what you pay for.
This property is coming up at $49/nt for my dates. It is a
AAA 3-diamond hotel. For this, I expect a hotel to be clean and have doors that lock. By clean, I mean clean towels, sheets, bathroom, carpet, etc. I do not expect the hotel to have new furnishings, interior corridors, nice pool, deluxe breakfast, etc.

For $49 I can get a much better hotel with my entertainment card or government discount.

I have a friend staying at this Masters Inn in a couple of weeks. She will let me know her opinion. She got a rate of $29/nt.

Usually, I prefer to stay in Country Inns, Hampton Inns, or selected Comfort/Sleep Inns. Occasionally we get to splurge and stay somewhere nicer. But for this trip, we want to fly, so we are trying to save on the hotel $$$.
