I am debating weather to get a new furniture set for my bedroom. My old set is 17 years old, and i got a bigger bed so the iron headboard doesnt really match the washed oak furniture. Doesnt look bad...just not master bedroomy looking. I need a new tv in there and the armoire I have it on is about to collapse. So I could a)replace the tv and get a stand or b) get a whole new matching bedroom st with a tv and matching stand for like 1000 more . Here is the set I am thinking of getting...let me know what you think:)

I like the set. Do you have an extra $1000 to spend is really the question.

Thank you...I do, I guess I'm in such a mindset of frugality though, I need to be convinced that I will really get alot of enjoyment out of a "real" bedroom set and that its ok not to scrimp on every little aspect of everything in my life:)

I say go for it...Life is short...a speaker I admire Joyce Meyer has a new book out///Eat the Cookie Buy the shoes :goodvibes good philosophy

Well, a bedroom set is not a totally frivolous thing...you do need somewhere to sleep after all. And it's not like you're going to be buying a bedroom set every day.

I say go for it... but that comes from a person who is currently decorating EVERY room in her three bedroom house (plus finished basement :headache:)

Your set sans the bed (ours is metal) is similar to the wood furniture we have in our master! :thumbsup2

In a heartbeat!! For years, our master bedroom furniture was the only decent furniture we had. It's always been a priority for our sanctuary to be comfortable and nicely decorated. That sounds kind of snooty, but our family room furniture etc, is going to get trashed by the kids anyway, so I"m not so picky about it. I dont' know if you have children or not, but since becoming a parent, it's even more important. it feels really good at the end of the day to go to sleep in a peaceful room.

your bedroom sounded like mine 6 months ago.. I say go for it. Nothing better then wakin up in a nice bedroom.. :thumbsup2

Do you like to dust often? That's the first thing I think of with all this new trendy darker furniture. I have some and won't buy more of it.

Hey, the link isn't pulling up the bedroom collection that you have picked out. Can you post the name of the collection so I can see it!!!!

Anyhow, I totally agree with Kirsten's post above!

The FIRST furniture that we invested in was our bedroom. :goodvibes

If you really love this, and can see it in your room, nicely decorated... If it makes your heart go pitter-patter, then I say go-for-it!
