Masks no longer required outside at Disney World park or resorts

This will definitely make Disney much more fun in the heat. Makes we want to plan my next trip. Will also be great for HHI, If the policy is extended to there as well.

You’re right it was specific to Disney World. I made an assumption that it would apply elsewhere which apparently hasn’t been announced.

I’m sure it’s the right assumption, but I would like to see an official announcement. HHI just voted to not extend their mask mandate on the island, so it would be crazy for this to not apply to the HHI resort. Also it’s A LOT less crowded at this resort than the parks at WDW!

On the DVC resorts page, there's a report by someone who checked in at the DHHIR today, and was told that WDW corporate called this morning to say that guests at the HHI resort no longer have to wear masks outside.

I see things a little differently. It's a very simple standard that masks need to be worn indoors and once you reach the "put your mask on" sign in the queues. CMs no longer have to police masks EVERYwhere all day long, so their jobs in that regard should be less stressful than the previous months.

Well, I don't know if there's a sign that says that specifically but reports are that, at a minimum, there's a CM telling people that masks have to worn from that point in the line.

I saw a report that signs are changed and indicated required indoors!

Sorry pic is sideways, but there are cast members at the start of the indoor portion of every ride reminding people to wear masks. People have been very good about putting masks back on when needed. People are however very bad at following the social distance markers in the lines.
