Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous!!!!!!!
We saw it yesterday and loved it.

Yes, it was fantastic!! I was bummed when it was over.

We love it, too. I loved the kite scene especially and the music with it. I also loved how it stayed true to the original story rather than the movie. So great!:thumbsup2

sorry to say, but i did not like the show and I disliked the theater even less Disney renovated it for the show, and I think they forgot they were doing seating for theater go'ers who are sitting for two plus hours, rather than the 3to 5 minute ride time the seats are EXTREMELY cramped, both width wise and knee room, and I am an average sized person it was just awful and I was so uncomfortable with no leg room at all

I saw it several years ago and loved it. I just wished that people would stop singing along. It also got a bit tedious in some parts, but the rest of it more than made up for that. Is Gavin Lee still headlining as Bert? He was fantastic!

Glad to read the good reviews. I am going with my 11 year old daughter's elementary school on an overnight field trip to Atlanta to see it in May. We're so excited!!!!

That's very exciting. I've heard the theatre in Atlanta is one of the best in the South. I live in Florida and I go to the Times Union Center for Performing Arts.

I loved the theater, but I had never been in it before so I don't know how it's different. It's certainly historic and you should go down the stairs to see the memorabilia that is down there.

We sat in the front row and could peek in at the orchestra and were able to see the conductor very well. He seemed to truly enjoy every single song and that struck me because he must have surely heard all the songs hundreds of times. And all the actors, too, seemed totally into the story. And it wasn't identical to the Dick Van **** / Julie Andrews movie, so it was interesting to see how they updated it. I liked most of the plot differences, too, but not all of them. But the parts I didn't like were very short and minor. I would certainly see it again, though. It was the first time I'd visited New York and the first Broadway production I saw, so it will always be dear to my heart. :)

PS: I just saw that what I assume is a computerized censor program changed the male movie star's last name to all asterisks. I have to wonder why his first name is acceptable, too. LOL! Anyway, I did originally type in his real name.

My 15 year old son saw it with his music department a couple of weeks ago and LOVED it!!!!! He said it was EPIC and AWESOME!!!!! I wish I could see it.

My DH and I are planning on going this summer to the Kennedry Center in Washington, DC to see the show. I asked to go for my Birthday. Can't wait.

It is coming to Charlotte in September. We have tickets to go then. We cannot wait to see it! I am so happy to read the great reviews!

Our family saw it last summer and LOVED it. We are big Broadway musical fans, so it's not easy to impress us. It was excellent. Enjoy!

No, Bert was a gentleman named Christian Bole. He was excellent.

I think Gavin Lee is touring, we saw him here in Mpls last fall, along with the woman who originated the role of Mary. It was amazing, we loved it!!!
