There was a legal analyst on the news this evening. Supposedly, part of her defense is going to be the Enron mess. How it isn't fair that they are going after her and didn't do anything to Ken Lay and his merry band of thieves.

While I realize our government picks certain people to make a point. Martha the one this time around.

Whether she guilty or not, I guess a court of law will decide. If she is then she should pay.

Yes there is lots of greed and corruption in big business. What wrong is wrong. If she did get insider trading info, no matter how much she made it isn't right. There were lots of people who didn't get the call and lost a lot of their savings.

Like in laundry since she is so great at getting hard stains out and let's not forget her ironing skills. Orange jumpsuits with pressed seams.

Or mabe she can help out in the kitchen. I'm sure prison food could use some new spices.

Or mabe she can start the prison's first 'Crafting Your Way to a Better Life' class.

Well for someone who created such an "empire" she was pretty darn stupid. If she would have held it instead of panicing she would have made more money.

While I don't feel bad for her, she was the sacrificial lamb, so to speak. But when you want to play with the big boys you gotta be ready for the consequences.

I totally agree with you Jas. I honestly believe that a lot of the top CEOs never once thought that any harm would ever come their way. Martha was untouchable at one time, she could do no wrong and she knew it. Hell of course she knew what was going on and the info she received was on the illegal side but she did not care. I might have done the same thing since past history showed that a slap on the wrist was all that top execs received.
