Need advise on Marriott Grande Vista-we received a postcard in the mail for 5 day/4night stay for $199 and after completion of the 90 min. sale pitch we receive $100. certicate toward theme park tix. I just found this post card as I was cleaning out some things and it has just expired...I thought about calling and seeing if they would still honor $199. I am thinking they probably would since they are looking to get families in there to buy into the vacation club, but before I do this I wanted some expert advice on this resort...we usually stay at Disney, will we be disappointed, how far from Disney, Sea World. We will also book 4 nights at a Disney resort so we will get our fix in, just don't want to stay in a dump, no matter how cheap. thanks

I would call. We own Marriott Cypress Point, not Grande Vista. GV is a beautiful resort.Marriott Vacation Club has a quality product-nice resorts, lots to do.GV has nice pools, a golf course built around it. Search this sight for Marriott Grande Vista posts, there have been many. Also, check out the Marriott Vaction Club website. That should have a link to view pics of the resort, which is located right near Sea World.

If you are interested, find out the resale prices BEFORE you go and find out what Mariott offers to buy from them as opposed to buying resale.

We are staying using that postcard on 6/21-6/25/06. We are DVC members and have been since 1994. We are staying there for a conference during that time and did not want to use our DVC points. We can handle the 90 min. presentation. You will be staying at the hotel portion of the resort, not one of the timeshare villas, just to let you know. It looks beautiful.

We love the Grande Vista. It's always been clean and the pools are very nice, the kids loved the new pool area. There are all villas there, no hotel part. YOu may get a studio room for that promotion though. We were given one in error last year, it was quickly corrected though. The studio has a kitchenette area, and a room with a king sized bed and a couch, tv. I don;t think oyu will be sorry booking the Grande Vista.

is just so huge-doesn't seem as intimate as the others. Nevertheless, it is beautiful and well-kept. those timeshare salesmen are really good, though-beware!
