I was wondering if anyone has a first-hand reccomendation for choosing one of these two hotels? I like the Fairfield Inn's family suite room configuration. But does it have a hot continental breakfast like the Springhill Suites? I am seriously considering going between these two verses staying onsite before our Disney Cruise in November...any suggestions?

I have not done either place in a couple years (they've since been refurbed a little) and have not done a family suite at FF. That said I'd go with SHS because they have a spa and pool (though you can hop to any pool/spa in the 3 village properties). SHS also does a very nice breakfast, the rooms are a little bigger, with a desk/sofa/mini fridge/microwave, two TVs... FWIW.

I prefer the Fairfield. The rooms at the Fairfield have a fridge and microwave.

DH and I returned from the Fairfield two weeks ago. (A 11 night stay) I like the hotel. This was our second time there. But, I was not thrilled with the breakfast. They had cereal, toast, bagels, make your own waffles and some kind of unappetizing looking muffin. Also, bananas, oranges and yogurt, but no 'light' (lo cal) yogurt. One day we saw a few people with donuts but they didn't last long. I thought when we were last there breakfast was better.

One tip. Use I4 to get anywhere in WDW other than DTD. All there traffic lights in the WDW area will really slow you down.

Tried to book for late 2009...the hotel is not available even through Marriott directly. Any thoughts?

That is 1&1/2 years away. Can you book anything that far out? We found a deal on the AAA website about 6 months in advance. We only paid $60/night. So even tho I wasn't thrilled with the breakfast, it was still a great deal.
