Marriott Vacation Club International Reports Missing Backup Tapes

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Marriott Vacation Club International (MVCI), the vacation ownership division and subsidiary of Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE: MAR - News), said today backup computer tapes containing data pertaining to approximately 206,000 associates, timeshare owners and timeshare customers were missing from the corporate office in Orlando Fla.

Potentially: Social Security Numbers, People's Names and Addresses, Charge Card for Dues Information being lost.

It is what lawyers dream of for future Class Action Lawsuits !

I hope DVC and Disney's Information Technology Department has more secured methodologies in place as part of their PRIVACY, SECURITY and DISASTER RECOVERY PREPARATIONS.

Belmar and Spring Lake are wonderful beach towns
