We have stayed at the Grande Vista several times and have avoided the sales pitch.

We are thinking of looking into it this year.

How intense is it?
How long?

Any incentives to sit through it?

well if they offer $125 in Marriott dollars would do it. it was not bad - but it has been a few years. It was less than 90 minutes once he realized I was really interested in buying.

I've never been to that specific one but as with any it depends on the salesperson. Years ago I would stay at my Mom's timeshare and she would give me free weeks or we would pay her $500 for the week. My husband and I went to one sales presentation in Virginia and I used that for my excuse not to buy. I just told them my Mom lets us use her timeshares for free. We were still there for over two hours and had to go through 3 different sales people to get out. They can't argue with free. It was worth it for the three free nights they gave use for the weekend.

I'm assuming you don't really want to buy one. Just make sure you have a plan going in. If you ever do want to buy go to a realtor resale agent.
