If room size and cost were identical, do you have a preference? We've never been to either.

I LOVE them both...it is like asking someone to choose between two children. They have slightly different characteristics but really I cannot say which one is better and I would be deleriously happy in either.

We stayed at Cypress Harbour last October and enjoyed it. I wouldn't say its fantastic, but it is very nice. We stayed in a unit that had not recently been renovated (they were obviously in the process of this - we saw lots of equipment and work crews around). If I were to stay again I would be sure to ask for a renovated unit.
Hope this helps!

We prefer Cypress Harbour because of the feel of the resort. Most of the resort has been refurbished now.

It's really a personal preference on which Marriott Vacation Club to choose. Either resort is nice. Check out trip advisor for pictures and reviews on both.

Study the dis boards on the location of buildings and call the resort a week before check-in to request a certain area. They try hard to put you where you request. Marriott owners get first crack at certain buildings/areas though.

We like Cypress Harbor best. We've been there 4 times. Beautiful, great layout, not too big, not too small, and something to do for everyone in the family. If you were a golfer that might give GV the edge.

It may also depend on if you have children and how old they are. Grande Vista may have more activities for them. Unfortunatly room size is not identical and the amount of beds may be different. I beleive all Cypress Harbor rooms have a king in the master and a queen in the 2nd BR, whereas GV may have two queens in the extra room depending on the room type you get.

You can't go wrong with either one. We have stayed in both. Grande Vista is newer but it is also bigger. I like the pools at MGV better.

I guess I must have had a renovated unit because it was very new and very nice.
