Has anyone stayed here ? I have seen pictures of the pirate ship in the pool - it looks great for an offsite resort. Thinking of staying here in April instead of Royal Pacific. I love the convenience of having kitchen and laundry facilities.

We have not stayed there but have done a TON of research on the Horizons and the Cypress Harbour across the street for our early Oct vacation.. Both resorts get excellent ratings from guests and many say there kids liked Horizons better than being on-site due to the themed pool and activitioes. We have stayed at Marriotts Grande Vista and it was excellent. Ive seen that Cypress Harbour looks even better and Horizons geared more towards families with younger children. Check

and tug2.net for more info. We decided to stay at Cypress Harbour, as two of our children are too young to enjoy the themed pool, so we'll spoil ourselves. Does anyone know if a Marriott Cypress Harbour guest can use the facilities at the Marriot Horizons?

Hi,

Our family stayed there in January and LOVED IT. My kids used to ask when we were going to DisneyWorld, now they just ask to go back to the place with the pirate ship (and they don't mean Pirates of the Caribbean). At then ages 3 and 6, they had a blast and so did we. The Pirate Ship had slides, squirters-for lack of a better term- and parts of it were zero-depth...the ship is at one end of a kidney-shaped pool..a couple of hot tubs, table and chairs with food service available. There is also a large interactive water area (no pool) but it was very windy and chilly so we didn't spend too much time there....that's adjacent to a playground. The rooms were very bright and cheery..we liked the way they were laid out. They staff was very friendly and helpful...they also have organized activities, like ice cream sundae making, tie-dye t shirts...popcorn and juice available in the lobby at certain times of the day. It was very convenient to Sea World and close to WDW

We loved it so much, we'll be back in October.

Hope this helped,
Jeannnie

Does anyone know where I can find pictures of this resort at?

Thanks!

Teresa

I am sooooo glad to see this post! We just made reservations there using my mom's timeshare for Sept 25-Oct 2. Hope it's great! BTW, if anyone wants to see pics or more info, go to their website:

Check out the super cool Pirate ship in the pool:smooth:

We're staying at Marriott's Grande Vista next spring, because that is my parents' home resort.

Does anyone know if we would be allowed to use some of the facilities (primarily the pool area) at Horizons?

Beth

Thanks for the picture links! I'm on my way now to check them out!

The pool looks awesome! My girls would definitely love it.
