Hi, we are traveling from the UK in september & have booked with Virgin for a studio appartment. There is just the 2 of us, Is it worth upgrading to a 1 bed suite and if so how much can we expect to pay on arrival for the upgrade. We are there for 2 weeks.

We have googled the hotel & it looks amazing from the air, not sure how old the photo is. Is there anything outside the resort within walking distance, I believe there is a publix there now, how far away is that. BTW we do have a car.

Thanks for any help.

we stayed in a Studio recently, and I think it was very sufficient for 2 people, esp if you do not plan on cooking. We bought various items like cheese and crackers, drinks, chips (ya know - snack food).

I personally wouldn't bother upgrading unless it was 20 or so more a night, just because for two it is really fine.

I think the resort is really nice. We stayed near the main part of the hotel, however I would have rather been near the new pool which has the nice bar and serves food...:woohoo:

In the Publix plaza there is an outback steakhouse that we always eat at, and a couple other places (publix also has good deli meats, etc and makes subs/grinders). We ate at a Bennigans that was close (near seaworld) and I would NOT recommend it at all - both for cleanliness and staff courtesy.

I would say Publix is about 1.5 miles maybe? It isn't too bad, and I think there are walkways...probably will take a while to walk depending on where you are in the resort - could be a 3 mile hike if you are in the back...

have fun!
