Just found out my mil's sister (who is paying for our trip) booked us into suites at the Marriot Towne Place Suites in Anaheim. Anyone have any experiences with them-I'd really like to know how far they are from DL? She says they are across from Angel stadium.

We have 5 nights there, then 3 nights at Mandalay Bay in Vegas, then we come home for 5 nights, and she is flying us to Hawaii!!!!!!!!!! I'm in heaven!

Stayed there last June, I thought the hotel was good especially for the price, we stayed there for free using marriott rewards points but the regular rate was around $109 per night, can't beat that considering you get a good sized room with a full kitchen, even though it's a little on the small side. Yes it's right by Angels stadium and a quick 5 minute drive to the parks. Parking is very easy to get and it's a pretty quiet hotel except for the train in the back, try requesting a room on the other side of the railroad...thankfully the train doesn't pass through at night or else we would have gotten woken up easily. while we were at the hotel, they were remodeling so all of the rooms have been upgraded within the past year with new furniture, beds, carpet, etc. don't know about upgrading any of the kitchen appliances though.

That sounds great! I know they have a shuttle service-did it start really early (like early enough to get to a 7am early opening?).

My mil said there is a free breakfast, but I didn't see it on the website?

Thanks for the help!

i didn't use their shuttle bus but i believe it ran during regular park hours only, but you can ask when you check in about the shuttle service.

there wasn't any free breakfast when i went last year, they just had free coffee in the lobby and a tiny market store where you could buy drinks/snacks.

we're staying at the residence inn this time and it comes with a free breakfast buffet, that's why we decided to try them out this time, saves us some money since we don't have to buy anything for breakfast or go out to eat anywhere for breakfast.

Thanks for the details. MIL's sister owns a limo service and says she'll have a driver on standby-just wanted to know about other options. I'm assuming it IS NOT in walking distance. And with the kitchen, we'll probably do a grocery run. I'll bring dd8's grits from home, though!

not walking distance unless you want a 2 mile walk to the parks:lmao:

and there is an albertsons 2-3 miles down on college station, just go over the train tracks and a few miles down you'll see the albertons on the right.
