My DH and I are planning on going in Sep 2008 and need help trying to find where we want to stay and play. We definitely don't want anything as cheap as the All Stars but the Resorts on the loop are out of our price range. We are looking for something different that we can be romantic at but yet still go to the bar or go out and party like we are 21. Any suggestions on where to stay.:cool1:

I would suggest Coronado Springs resort.
My DH and I love that resort, nice pool bar and a brand new bar in the main building of the resort. The resort also has a lake, beach and lots of foutains that make for a romantic walk around the reort.

SSR - so you can walk over to PI

or

BWV - easy access to BW and Jellyrolls

you can rent a reservation from a DVC member and not pay Disney's prices - no housekeeping.

For those of us 30 somethings on a budget, prior to DVC, we have immensly enjoyed Port Orleans French Quarter. It's only 10 minutes by boat to DTD and PI, the lounges and entertainment are great and the resort is awesome! I agree, the AS are over-crowded and noisy and the line is over-priced. PI is a great place to party as is Jellyrolls over at the Boardwalk. Be sure to buy the "water parks and more" on your pass if you are planning to go to PI more than twice...it's less expensive that way. Atlantic Dance Hall....well....we're all a little young to be hanging out there:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 I second CSR... I love this hotel. Along with the above bars, etc. listed above, they have 'quiet' pools for adults so you can enjoy laying out by the pool without kids running all over the place. Also every room has a mini fridge, so you can pack it up with adult beverages. I packed a cooler bag from home (that folds up flat) and filled it up with beverages and ice from the machine to drink by the pool. I did pour into a Dixie cup so it wouldn't be so obvious.

My DH (33) and I (28) are going in September 2008 as well! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Port Orleans French Quarter. We're going to do a split stay Sat-Tuesday POFQ, Tuesday- Sunday Wilderness Lodge.

We plan to hit Pleasure Island and do some ADULT things too, but stay kids at heart!!!! :cool1: :cool1:
