Have any of you done this?

Sure would make our first couple a bit more laid back, especially as we won't have a car.

We just mailed our notarized copies back. So far it has been super easy! Just allow yourself enough time. It looks us about a week to get our application.

Yes, we did that too it was super simple! Let me know if you have any questions :)

Awesome, thanks girls. :)

Do you think I'll be OK with timings getting it shipped to the UK, or shall I ask DFTW if I can get it sent there?

Awesome, I never even thought to do something like that... thanks for the info! I will have to looks into this!

Thanks for this thread... I wrote to them on March 3rd and still have not received a reply. Thought well maybe they are waiting until exactly 60 days out before the wedding. Now that I know they are pretty timely I just sent them another email asking for advice. I've been searching the mailbox every day hoping something would arrive. Of all things to stress about, was hoping this wouldn't be one of them. Glad everyone else has had good luck... perhaps mine just got misplaced or lost in the mail.

We did this! So easy and I'm so glad we did it through the mail rather than spending time to go somewhere once we got down there in person!

DH and I did this for our wedding. It was one of the best decisions, because then we did not have to waste precious park time standing in line at a courthouse! :-)

They pretty much wait until sixty days out. Our sixty days is today and our application came in the mail today.

Just got my application yesterday -- I requested it March 3 and got it on March 27. Funny, after I posted having not gotten it here, I received it few days later

Here's a question that may not be able to be answered here - is a Notary the same as a Justice of the Peace here?

Who did the UK brides get to notarise their forms?

I have a quick question. I mailed them in an application form to apply for the marriage license in the beginning of March...I still haven't received anything in the mail from them...did I give them enough time? I still have get the paper notarized when they mail it to us and then wait to get the license back in the mail, so I'm just a little nervous as our wedding is on June 9

Okay, here is a hot tip -- if you attend or have attended a marriage preparation course, the fee drops from $93.50 to $61.00 -- just enclose a copy of the certificate you received by mail along with the application!

Am I wrong but I thought the marriage certificate price through the mail was $200 instead of $100 (if you do it in person)?
