other than the fact that you haven't told your wife yet about the 3 day get a way trip, i would bet she will be really pissed when she finds out you went shopping without her...........


with the hang over you will be suffering from, you still best get up at 7 and hit the mall for your Saturday shopping.

if you get a taxi at 12-12:45 to return to the hotel, you should be able to make it to the uth tour.

in my email it stated to sign in 30 minutes prior.
(but i never do that)

do hhn on saturday night, get back to the hotel room around 2:30 am, sleep in to 11 on sunday then head to the motherland.



i wouldn't try to fit in busch on this trip.


you need to sleep sometime and not just on the plane ride home....

... but I´m going shopping...and buying stuff for her too....

So I've been away from the forum for a while...

But for a good reason.. My first daughter was born August 26th and is a beautiful little

We have named her Fabiana Alexandra

Anywhooo.... I've decided against adding BGT for this trip. I will dedicate Sunday September 25 for shopping, resting, and taking a quick jump to WWoHP for a Frozen Butterbeer!

Now that HHN site has revealed their Houses and ScareZones, I am even more thrilled than before...

I wonder how they will make a maze in a scarezone???

I will break the news to my wife this weekend about my upcoming trip! She will be soooo especially with Fabiana just arriving.

Worst case scenario... re schedule trip??? Is that doable? I know Universal will reschedule my resort dates with no issues whatsoever. What about the UTH Tour? Disneys resort ressies?
On the other hand, ny doing this I might be able to join some of you on your dates....

The suspense is killing me...

your daughter is beautifuland your wife is a saint. If you're bringing back goodies, bling might be the way to go.

i still say that MM shirt is the best i've seen

panama, cool, have cruising thru the the canal on my bucket list.

you might cancel your trip this year.
if you reschedule, are you planning for that next year or later this october?


if this year, do so quickly.
rooms might fill up for the dates you need.

the site states no refunds on the tours.
UTH is a tour.

if you cancel, you would have to talk to someone in VIP tours to cancel with a refund if you already bought the tour ticket.
it would be their call to switch your uth tour date/time or refund.

same for hhn tickets if you cancel and go later.
the cheaper price for hhn tickets is for the first 3 weeks only.
tickets increase after that promo period.
but if you bought a rof, or another pass, forget my statements on it.


since i have birthed many brats, let me give you some advice.

do everything for your wife now without being asked...
do the dishes, shopping, feeding babe, changing babe, making dinner, cleaning the house, etc.

she will be in a better mood to listen to you talk about going on a mini trip w/o her and babe.

Thank you so much for your advice. Believe me. I've been washing dishes, cleaning up after myself (no dirty clothes lying around everywhere), making breakfast, for a long time now...

I would reschedule for October THIS year, of course. ... I have the ROF. Would have to change the dates of the resort ressie and call to see if I can change the date of the tour.
How about Disney, any policy, Im under the 45 day cancellation date?

I'm still pretty sure I can make it for Opening Weekend..

The cruises i've researched either pass thru to west coast (but an issue with the length for our vacation dates). A few make port in Colon (I believe it's Chrisobel pier-probably spelled it wrong) and have excursions that go into one of the canal's lakes & back to ship.

I've read reports that the area around that pier can be somewhat 'sketchy'but i've found that to be true nearly everywhere. We've visited Belize (my least favorite port, but really enjoyed Xunantunich) and Roatan (lovely!). Any comparisons you can offer between them and Colon?

IMO, it's worth a shot to call Disney (or ask travel agent if you used one) to plead your case for change dates, referencing home issues/daughter's birth. As with all things Disney, results can vary greatly depending upon who you happen to reach. If you don't initially get the answer you want, make sure to call again (and ask for a supervisior).

I just spoke with Disney about their cancellation/change policies not to long ago for a member I was helping. If I remember correctly, if you need to make a change to dates after your 45 day cut off, ten its a $50 fee only if it changes the price of your rate/package. I'm like 80% sure that's what the agent said, but I'd still call them to make sure if you need to.

So the weekend came, too quickly must I say, and flew off without waving good-bye...

I have never seen such a short weekend... If I blinked too much, I would have missed it.

Anyway, Sunday evening I decided to tell my DW about my trip.. Boy was I nervous... Man... did my knees give in.... So with a chill and a quiver, I built up some courage and told her about the trip....

She was outraged... The news gave her a I was like

She even felt .... I honestly feel pretty bad about it.. She said NO!... and I and she saw my pain... she saw my love for HHN.... and she agreed.

And I her! And her!

She might change her mind so I have to keep an eye open....


So for now, my trip goes....

I agree with other posters- continue to be on your bestest behavior and get her and the baby something nice! Is there something your wife would like to do to treat herself? Spa day? Visit with or from a friend?

And see if there is anything you can do before you leave to make it easier for her during your trip- make some meals in advance and freeze them, or get some gift certificates for takeout/delivery places if there is something she likes nearby.

And tell her that your imaginary friends on the DIS think she is really cool and understanding!
