Man, this event keeps getting better and better: Carrie Fisher, "Last Tour to Endor Party", George Lucas - interviewed by Jon Stewart, and now Mark Hamill - Luke Skywalker! I can't wait! I mean - I can't wait to go and cover this event for the readers of the blog and listeners of the podcast. It's all for you - just research.

DIS Unplugged: Need More Star Wars? Celebration V, Orlando, August 12-15

They way they keep stringing out the announcements, I kind of wonder if there's one more they need to make. It's the 30th Anniversary of "Empire Strikes Back", and they already have commitments from George Lucas, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, and C-3PO. I'm wondering if they are going to drop the Harrison Ford bombshell sometime?!?

I've got my fingers crossed.

This is just killing me. This appears to be one of the best Celebration events ever!

I can't help but go to southwest.com and poke around. :rolleyes1

Wow ... there's gonna be a lot of security needed!!!

I wish that I could go.

Harrison Ford just got hitched...so, he may be too busy to commited to the celebration.

Wait, how long has he been living with her? No excuse...

2001 or 2002?

Use the Force, Dave.

;) I bet you have a wish list of interviews set up...can't wait for the Mark Hamill interview. :yoda: :darth: :ewok: :chewy:

:wizard: It would be off the charts cool if you interview George Lucas.

:yay: Thanks for "taking one for the team" Dave! ;) :yay:

I would be SOO excited to be able to be at this event- but the timing just doesn't fit in our schedule.
I can't wait to see what you report back to us- it'll be the next best thing to being there.:darth:

Tell Luke Skywalker & Princess Leia I said hi! :wave2::ewok:

I'm really gonna have to start looking into attending. The guest list is just amazing. Plus, I recently found out that I might have some of my Star Wars Weekends pics displayed on a screen in the 501st area. And the fact that I'm local should pretty much make my decision a no brainer.

your not kidding ...... when he was at the london celebration exhibition (which was rubbish and was nothing compared to what this orlando one will be like), we nearly had our camera taken off us for taking a picture of him ..... from 10 ft away!!!!

(it didnt help that the security guard appeared to have an ego problem!)

I remember in my interview with Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) last year he talked about the craziness in Japan when Mark Hamill appeared. It should be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Hope told me about Mark Hamill coming to C5. She also told me it's going to cost $125 to get his autograph. :scared1: I'm sure she will be able to grab a photo, but no autograph for her. Unless she hits the lottery in the next month. :rotfl:

Is that right!?! $125! For an autograph!?! That's insane. No wonder he never comes to Star Wars Weekends. People get autographs for a fast pass there.

it was costing around £50 here in the UK when he appeared which was why I didnt get it .... i regret that now as we are HUGE fans of Star Wars and Mark's appearances are VERY few and far between!

The did announce that Mark Hamill is appearing on stage too. So hopefully everyone will get a chance to see and hear him.

Dang-I have his autograph on a playbill-and I got it for free in NY. I had gone to see the show in previews and saw him walking down the street afterwards. I stopped, showed him the playbill and told him we had enjoyed the show and he pulled out a pen and signed it!

I would love to see Mark Hamill but I will be away. And I can't go:sad2:

As for Harrison Ford, he's not much for reliving his Han Solo days. He prefers Indy. I love both characters.:lovestruc

So, we're arriving for our vacation on 8/14. I've been trying to plan our first evening activities because we were not planning to go into a park, and I just found out about the Last Tour to Endor party!!! DH is not the convention going type, but is such HUUUUGGEEEEEE Star Wars fan...I am thinking of surprising him with this as an early birthday present.

Can anyone tell me more about this event? I see that Mark Hamill, George Lucas, etc... are attending the convention...but will they be appearing for this? In addition to the Party, will the rides/shows/restaurants also be operating? Anything else I should know?

You know Calista Flockhart-Ford has a little boy. I can totally see her taking the kid to the parks while Harrison did his Celebration duties. It's definitely a possibility. :thumbsup2

Not even a chance. Harrison Ford won't do anything Star Wars. Even signing Star Wars things for charity is huge for him.
