I haven't been to Marineland since I was very young, so I'm essentially a first-timer. Is it worth going? Is there any way to get cheap(er) tickets than their posted prices? What might an adults-only visit be like?

Hmmm.. Ive wanted to go cause I missed out on their rollercoaster. Plus they have that new tippy ride. That would be the only two reasons I would go. Tikets are like 50$$ and food is like 40$ for lunch.

If your into rides, take the trip to Canada's Wonderland.
If you like...sealife and a *few* mediocre rides, then go to Marineland.

It hasn't changed much since you were there last. It is expensive, however they do have a new "pay $5, get season's pass" deal.

Tickets are actually $40 for adults, according to their site. I don't remember anything about my trip, so even if nothing has changed, I don't really know what to expect.

We were just there, we got an awesome deal! If you get a group of 15 or more people together then you can get a group rate of $9.75 for kids and $35 for adults. you have to book it in advance and once in the park you can upgrade to the seasons pass. We always bring a picnic lunch, they have a very nice shaded area that you can sit and eat your lunch in.
I plan a group trip every 1st Friday of June, if anyone wants to get in on it for next year send me a PM and I will include you!

I believe if you stop at a visitors centre or even any number of hotels on your way into Niagara Falls, you can get a Marineland booklet and it will have a $$'s off coupon in it (might be $3, might be $6; just can't remember).

The shows are fun and we have liked the beluga whales area. There is a kiddy ride section and then there are lots of rides closer to the back portion of the park. There is section with animal viewing close to there as well. The deer area is a favourite of many people; I, however loathe it! It makes me squeamish and anxious!!! :faint: I'm normally not bothered by much, but this just gets me for some reason.

We go to Marineland every year. They do a lot of group ticket sales. If you have kids who play a sport (our soccer club has a deal) or you work for a major company/union, chances are you get a deal but have to buy the tix through them. Marineland also usually has a deal where, for five bucks, you can upgrade to an annual pass for the year. Marineland is not comparable to SeaWorld. It is cheaper than SW but not as clean, not much in the way of dolphins and pretty basic shows. They do have a lot of Belugas and you can pay extra and feed them. They also have a Killer Whale splash show where you get quite close to them and, well, they jump around in the pool and you get wet. My kids love feeding the bears. Forgo the deer encounter, I'm not even sure it's humane how they have them. The rides are okay but not spectacular but are included in admission. I don't enjoy the rides there but my kids do.

You can bring a cooler into Marineland and I highly recommend it. Marineland food is not any chain company. What it is is greasy and overpriced, and for some reason there's always tons of bees in the picnic area behind the main restaurant pavillion.

It's not a bad day out. For my buck, I much prefer the Toronto Zoo, but some people love Marineland . The rides at Marineland are not in the same league as the rides at Canada's Wonderland.

After reading snickerboo's post I think I remember that CAA has a discount on tickets, but I believe you have to buy them ahead.
