Marie! The Baguette's! HURRY UP! - 14 days of Dining > Land and Sea!< UPDATED 12/5!

Great reviews so far. I had originally dismissed Tony's on our ADR list for this October but your veggie dish looks yum. As a result of your review - I've now added it to my ADR's :) Looking forward to reading the rest !!

I live aero bar they mint ones are even nicer. I might bring a box of these for thank you gifts for staff as I know they can't accept cash tips .dies anyone know if I can bring theses into USA in checked luggage?

HEY ALL!!! SORRY FORGOT TO POST, I WAS IN THE DOMENICAN REPUBLIC LAST WEEK FOR A FRIENDS WEDDING!! I'll be getting back to all the yummy food asap!!!

Just found your reviews! I'm really enjoying reading. Those desserts look so good. I wish I was going to a dessert party right now. Looking forward to the rest. :thumbsup2

well, it's official

i am the worst dining reporter ever

haha, no but seriously, sorry for keeping you all hanging! July was pretty much a crazy month, i had a wedding in the Dominican Republic, and then by the time i got back and got into the swing of things, the month was like over... whooops! :confused3

anyway.. back on track! #letsgo

so Dan and I had been taking our own pictures, i was trying to take pics of his food, but it didn't always work out that way, i finally got him to give me all his pics on a flash drive.. so :woohoo:

Breakfast
you are gonna be so shocked when you hear where we ate breakfast!!!!

pop.

hahaha.

actually, i only have a picture of Dan's breakfast because i don't have any pictures of mine, i prob ate something super boringgggg, actually i might have had the same thing and figured i'd just take one pic.. hmmm

these are the mickey waffles, but they're really for "kids" ... hmm... why do small people get to enjoy the mickey shaped delicious breakfast, thats like age discrimination... NOT because we went and got some of deeees waffles anyways and they were SO GOOD. i think these are better than the standard "pop" waffles, they are smaller and i feel like the whole waffle is crispier, SO DANG GOOD!!! ..minus the bacon, dan eats my bacon.. double bacon for the gentleman.

we headed to Hollywood Studios, where we waited a good 45-1 hour to see Wreck it Ralph and Vanellope VonSchweets... Dan LOVED wreck it ralph, i mean i liked it too but he loves his video games, so in the queue line its all video game themed stuff that only video gamers would get :snooty: so i just tagged along.

it was SO HOT, and i normally tend to steer clear of soda, but i have a weakness for frozen cokes. like if i were to go to 711 to get a slurpee, no matter HOW MANY different flavors i could get, i will ALWAYS go for the coke.

frozen coke in all its refreshing glory

Coca-Cola, Blue Raspberry, Raspberry Lemonade, Lemonade, Wild Cherry, Strawberry (frozen drinks) $3.99

we had lunch at one of our favorite places, SCI FI! I'm not sure i trust you as a human being if you don't love the sci fi.. yes the food is.. average, but the atmosphere is enough of a reason to keep going back! WE LOVE IT! PS, the usual car that is always in front of the restaurant was gone.. any clue why???

i was really obsessed with instagram collages...

Milk Shakes - Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry or oreo cookie ice cream $4.99

my Oreo cookie ice cream shake!!! the only possible thing that might make this better would be if it was refilled, multiple times.. but then i might not leave.. that'd be cool.. i could just sit there ALL DAY watching the same clips.. over and over and eating never ending shakes

Fried Dill Pickles - served with spicy Ranch Dipping Sauce $8.49

The fried pickles has to be new!!! THEY WERE THE BOMB.COM, no really and i can totally appreciate different shaped pickles, i'm a girl who likes choices and alternating... so two thumbs up! The spicy ranch was really good too, just like it says.. spicy ranch, good thing Dan it's everything plain! More sauces for meeeee :rotfl:

Salmon BLT - served on crusty French Roll with Arugula, Vine-ripened Tomatoes, Bacon, red onion and d Chili-Chive Aioli, served with cucumber salad or fries $14.99, with chicken $13.99

up close and personal with my Salmon LT... no B for me. This was fantastic!!! The salmon was cooked perfectly, very moist! I wasn't sure i would like it but putting the salmon on a crunchy roll was amazing, actually now that i'm thinking about it.. i might make that for dinner tomorrow! PLEASE, if your a salmon lover like me... get this! you won't be disappointed! plus the fries were SOOO hot and good, i didn't stop eating them.. even after my stomach was clearly telling me to!

Build-Your-Own Angus Chuck Burger - Flame-broiled Beef Patty with Cheddar or Swiss, crispy Bacon, Lettuce, and Vine-ripened Tomatoes; choice of Cucumber Salad or French Fries $15.99. Make it own your own with toppings of Sauteed Mushrooms, sauted onions, and sauerkraut $16.99

Dan thinks this is the best burger on property... no matter what day we plan to go to Sci-Fi, how far into the trip it is.. he will abstain from eating any other burgers our whole trip, just so he can fully enjoy his Sci- Fi burger. I think that tells you exactly how good he thinks it is!

Dan was planning on getting dessert, he always used to get this chocolate cake with reeses pieces, and he was SOOO ready to get it.. but when they brought over the menu - it was gone!!! :scared1: <thats pretty much dan's reaction... needless to say he was not a happy camper after that.

OH AND i forgot to mention how happy i was with this dining experience because when your a party of 2 at Sci Fi they usually stick you in the back of someone else's care and say that your hitchhikers.. WELL, these "hitchhikers" picked up the front seat in our own car... ballllllinnnnnnn

For Dinner we headed over to Epcot to try a new place!

I had only ever been to Nine Dragons once when i was little, so this was technically new for both of us.

We checked in and were seating in 2 seconds... not kidding..overall our entire dinner took less than 25 minutes :rotfl2: i am so serious, like they had SO many waiters and the food just came rushing out one after another.. not in a terribly bad way, i mean i wouldn't have minded to hang out a little more.. but hey, it's better than the food being painfully slow.

first i brushed up on my written Chinese

Walnut Shrimp Toast - the classic Chinese snack, Nine Dragons style crunchy, crispy, and delicious $7.98

We shared the shrimp toast, Dan really enjoyed it.. it had a hint of shrimpy flavor but i really felt like it was soo saturated in oil.. it just wasn't the best thing i've ever had.. it was...OK, the sweet sauce on the side helped mask the oily flavor but i don't think i would try this again.

Nine Dragons Fried Rice - stir-fried with shrimp, chicken, ham, eggs, vegetables and touch of chili spice $15.98

Dan had the fried rice, and this picture does not do it justice... this was HUGE BOWL.. easily shared by 2-3 people.. seriously. He thought it was really yummy, loved the egg mixed in, but when he was done it still didn't even look like he put a dent it in, lol.

Peppery Shrimp with Lightly Spiced Spinach Noodles $21.98

I had the peppered shrimp! The shrimp was delicious, i love spicy seafood and this hit the spot, the noodles on the other hand could have used more sauce... it was kind of bland and mixed with some under cooked vegetables didn't really impress me.. sorry Nine Dragons.

I would go back to Nine Dragons though to try some other dishes!

and.. the night would certainly not be complete without

ice cream

we scooted out of Epcot before Illuminations.. we have seen that so many times lol.. we just wanted to dive into some Ghiradelli's!

Dan had the one on the right
The Gold Rush - Peanut Butter Hot Fudge Sundae - Vanilla ice cream with freshly homemade hot fudge and melted peanut butter throughout. Topped with whipped cream, chopped almonds, a cherry and Ghirardelli Squares milk chocolate $9.45

He's a peanut butter fanatic, this was made for him!

Mine is on the left
Treasure Island - Two scoops of Vanilla ice cream paired with our warm double chocolate brownie, smothered with freshly homemade hot fudge and topped with whipped cream, chopped almonds and a cherry $9.45

except i swapped the vanilla ice cream for Espresso Chip.. i know that i've mentioned i'm a coffee junkie.. and putting coffee and ice cream together is my Nirvana...

this was too much... but i ate it all... sorry not sorry LOL

the brownie

the hot fudge

the whip cream

yea i slept with a ginormous food baby that night, but it was sooo worth it

until next time!!!!!!! :thumbsup2

You are hilarious!:lmao:

I am totally enjoying your report so far. OMG-I am totally stealing your Ghiardelli's ice cream idea when I go next. Espresso chip=amazing!

Love love love love your report so far! Funny and informative with just a dash of randomness ;) Can't wait to read more, I was in the stitches laughing at the thought of you so indignant over the servers getting your order "wrong" in CHH!! Hahaha, SO funny! Its something I would do so I can relate!

Love that those fried pickles at Sci-Fi come in different shapes/cuts. The ones they serve at DL are just spears, and I was expecting chips, so it threw me off and I just wasn't crazy about it. I thought the slices would be better.

That salmon sandwich you had looks delish. That is exactly how I would order it-minus the B. Maybe I will get to try it one day before they change the menu again.

Your 9 Dragons food pics make me want to eat there, but then your review...not so much. It's too bad it's not tastier. I've really read pretty much nothing but lukewarm reviews of 9 Dragons.

Looking forward to the next installment!

Glad you're back! Nice to see a 9 Dragons review. I don't think I've seen one yet. Looks pretty good actually. Yes, I'm surprised.

SciFi is on our list for next trip!

MMM fried pickles are good! I am going to have to make a ressie there for next month so I can have some

Informative and hilarious reviews! They're the best!

BTW just started following you on Instagram; I'm loveandsushi.

Awesome reviews!!

Oh, and I highly recommend renting points from David's, always a great and easy transaction!!

i always blame everyone else and 99.9% of the time it's my fault! lol

yea seriously, it's like every time you go it's a different menu! cray

Glad you're back! Nice to see a 9 Dragons review. I don't think I've seen one yet.

it was really nice inside! i will def be going back to try something else.. even though this should be considered a quick service :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 thanks for the rec for david! def something i'm looking into!!

My husband was excited to learn there are fried pickles on the menu at Sci-Fi now. It's one of our must-dos. May cannot come quickly enough!

Today was all about the MAGIC KINGDOM!!! We had two goals.. 1 - breakfast at Gaston's Tavern.. and 2 - trying to eat lunch at the Be Our Guest!!! mission accomplished!

We got to MK super early, and headed straight to Gaston's Tavern, there was already a line! I had read on the dis prior to our trip about these massive, and amazing cinnamon rolls, so Dan and I were in agreement that we'd have to try it!
...and because i'm not very good at sharing.. we each got our own. and YES, we both finished ours..

they were that good!

Warm Cinnamon Roll $3.99
LeFou's Brew $9.99
Frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow and topped with all-natural passion fruit-mango foam, served in a souvenir stein or goblet

the cinnamon roll was to die for!!! we also got LeFou's brew.. and Dan loved it.. but i didn't care for it. I understand Disney felt the need to compete with US on butterbeer.. but NOTHING can compare to butterbeer.. nothing. :yay:

here is a picture that will help you understand the size of this monstrous roll... look at the bun compared to dan's head...

in addition to the food being awesome, the decor is AMAZING!! the antler chandeliers are unreal! it really makes you feel like you are in Belle's village!

after breakfast we hit up ETWB... first time, we had to wait about 30 min... my favorite part of the wait.. was when the CM decided to move ropes around and make people wrap around, we were supposed to be next but it was one of those situations where the people behind you can easily scoot in front.. and they did.. and the cm was not helpful whatsoever in directing the flow of people...rant over. but ETWB was really adorable! it felt like we were waiting in the first part forever tho, where the kids are practicing their parts. We don't have kids but we also didn't feel awkward going.. i was a little concerned at first thinking it was mainly for families with kids, but it was fine! :thumbsup2

Dan wanted to play a round of sorcerers so i decided to get in line for Be Our Guest.. yes, long long line.. no shade.. horrible sunburn. The CMs were making me so nervous, as i was waiting in this line they kept coming by saying "make sure your whole party is with you before you reach the bridge or else you will have to step out of line and go to the back when your party returns".. now im like.. omg, dan is off playing this game, and i'm here and they're gonna kick me out of like  but.. after me frantically calling him multiple times he made it back just in time!

we waited in line some more, and finally got to the part where you order your own food. there are a lot of CMs around to help and it all went pretty smooth, we also decided to eat in the West Wing! very cool and creepy in there lol.

French Onion Soup $5.29

Quinoa Salad - with green beens, potatoes, olives, roasted bell peppers and tomatoes $9.99

Braised Pork (Coq Au Vin style) - eight-hour slow-cooked pork with mushrooms, onions, carrots and bacon served with mashed potatoes and green beens jardiniere $11.99

i had the soup and the Quinoa salad... the soup was pretty good, it is also made using a vegetarian broth! :cheer2: but the quinoa salad was the winner! the quinoa was SO tasty.. and a lot of times quinoa can be bland.. but the seasoning was amazing!! and they give you so much!! Disney is really starting to branch out from their typical chicken fingers and burgers.. which is awesome!

Dan had the braised pork, which was SO random.. he usually is not as adventurous of an eater. but he LOVE LOVED it, practically licked the whole bowl clean.. and i was glad it came with green beans, that way he actually eats some veggies on vacay lol

we skipped dessert because they cupcakes really didn't looks that appetizing, overall i enjoyed BOG.. but i wouldn't wait over an hour like i did for lunch. here is the results of waiting in line in the hot sun.. you have been warned.

so because we skipped out on dessert i was able to grab my favorite snack before we left! i let dan play sorcerers some more and i just sat in frontierland people watching (my fav).

Iced Coffee Float - French Vanilla, Mocha, or Latte with soft serve ice cream $4.49

if your a coffee addict like me.. they you will die for this.. SO GOOD. This is mocha, and they pour the hot coffee right over the ice cream, and at first its warm but as soon as the ice cream melts it starts to get cold, and its seriously so tasty on a hot florida day!

Later that night we decided to have dinner at Wolfgang puck express, this is one of our favorites and a tradition.. we usually eat here 2x a trip! we love it, and if your on the dining plan, it's only a Q/S and you get some really great food!

Four Cheese Pesto - Parmesan, mozzarella, fontina, goat cheese, plum tomatoes, fresh basil, sun-tomatoes $12

Macaroni and Cheese $11

it's for sure a little more on the expensive side, but seriously.. LOOK AT THAT PIZZA. it looks like it's being photographed for Martha Stewarts magazine! and it tastes just as amazing at it looks! There isn't any sauce, just some thinly slice tomatoes.. so perfect! Dan had the mac and cheese, which is the only thing he has ever eaten at WPE.. it is by far his favorite mac and cheese ever and he is a connoisseur of mac and cheese! I tried it too, it's so cheesy and warm! yum yum!

After dinner, we decided to try out the new bowling place, Splitsville. It was pretty cool, and empty.. we didn't even think we'd be able to get a spot to bowl, but we walked right in..that is expensive! and i didn't have socks so we went all over DTD looking for socks.. after going into little mismatched (RIDICULOUS TO SPEND THAT AMOUNT OF MONEY ON SOCKS).. Iended up with socks from World of Dis. and then u could by socks at Splitsville for like 2$... so needless to say, i bought the socks from splitsville.. had every intention of returning the other socks but never did. surprise surprise lol

After all that bowling we needed something SWEET! we walked back over to goofy's candy shop. were we couldn't decide on anything and just order more than we could eat.. this pic pretty much sums up my life

:rotfl2:

in the top pick, a chocolate covered pretzel rod with reese's pieces, a little mickey brownie, and a cake pop

the next two pics are a chocolate covered pineapple spear.

if you didn't know, there are a couple tables in the back of Goofy's candy shop to sit and eat!

i ate the choc covered pineapple, it was DELICIOUS!!! the pineapple wasn't cold but it was so juicy!! pineapple juice was going everywhere!!!! it is REALLY BIG too so by the time i finished it, i was full! Dan had the cake pop, it was chocolate inside - simple things are tasty enough for him. lol. the other two things we didn't finish so we took them back to the room!! ... i guess our eyes are bigger than our stomachs!

This was by far, the ULTIMATE of all disney days.. now we found out months prior to our trip that we would be there for Star Wars Weekend, which we were excited about.. DH is a huge star wars fan, and i'm a fan.. just your average fan. BUT, one day when i was scrolling through the SWW thread on the strategies board.. what did my little eyes spy.. the guest list

and there his name was

Warwick Davis

:yay: this emoticon does not even do my reaction justice..

i LOVE warwick davis, from the moment we met.. when i was a kid watching Willow.. then as the leprachaun... then in Harry Potter.

i was THRILLED.

then.. disney decided to announce that Friday May 24.. was going to be the kickoff for a monstrous summer.. the second time ever that disney was going to have the MK open for 24 hours!!!!! and we were leaving for the cruise on sunday so this was the only chance to see warwick, and the 24 hours.. we were in for some kind of day..

breakfast was from the pop food court.. eaten in the car... we wanted to be there way earlier than opening time.. we had talked about if it was worth it to get up SUPER SUPER EARLY to try and get a fp to meet warwick, but i was just happy to get close enough for some pics.. by the time we got to HS there was a million people there.. and people dressed up like crazy!

i could not believe how many people were wearing full on costumes with robes, i don't know how they didn't pass out.

my cheese danish, so good.. i think cheese danishes are the best out of all the danishes... something about it is so yummy!

Egg and Cheese Muffin - with Bacon or Sausage $5.99

Dan had a bacon, egg and cheese muffin from Fairefax faire which is right across from the entrance to fantasmic, he really enjoyed this and it was a quick bite before the star wars weekend action!

We went straight to the Darth Maul, then got some pictures with SW characters, the lines were insane.. and then, we went by Echo Lake where they have the autographs, and there he was..

YAY!!! i wasn't like a psycho and calling out to him or anything but i did take a least 50 pics of him sitting there.. he also had a show that we waited to see called " An Ewok's Tale" it was SO funny, he came out dressed as a director at first. We had to wait about an hour and a half to see the show, but we were the second people in line so we got seats right up front.. i only took about 300 pics .. :confused3, we also watched the parade and the stage show!! it was all so awesome! i love darth vader! he was great!

after the parade and the stage show we got lunch and then headed over to get in line for warwick's show.

we ate at Studio Catering Company which is by the Honey I shrunk the kids play area

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich - breaded chicken breast, romaine, tomato, spicy ranch dressing, and a Tuscan roll served with coleslaw, apple slices or french fries $8.99

Dan had the buffalo chick sandwich, which if i remember correctly wasn't that spicy which he liked, plus it was a really big portion.. he got fries as well!

Grilled Vegetable Sandwich - grilled zucchini, roasted mushrooms, roasted red pepper, vine-ripened tomato, provolone, sun-dried tomato pesto and basil-asiago artisan served with coleslaw, apple slices or french fries $8.99

i've had this before and it's ALWAYS delicious, these pressed veggie sandwiches are so good! i actually had one last night for dinner LOL.. plus if your eating junk all the time down there.. this kind of makes you feel a bit better.. and the veggies will help with any clogged pipes :rolleyes1 .. this sandwich is also HUGE.. could easily be shared - especially if you split the fries.

and then of course, we each got our own

the DARK CHOCOLATE DARTH VADER CUPCAKE.. doesn't this look to die for!!! and i assure you it was!!!! SO CHOCOLATEY!!! and it had peanut butter frosting!!!! dan nearly had a heart attack!!!

so we spent all of the day at H/S then went back for a nap to pop and then we headed over to MK for the monstrous summer event!

got our pins!

IT WAS PACKED!!!! i really did not expect it to be so packed but it was still awesome! I was actually really disappointed in the merch for the monstrous summer, i wanted a t-shirt for the 24 hour event but i couldnt bring myself to spend $30 on a shirt i prob wouldn't wear. We went on a good amount of rides, and of course i got hungry.. because my stomach is a bottomless pit.. Dan didn't want to eat... whatevaas not gonna stop this girl

Vegetable Burger - served with apple slices or french fries or cucumber salad $8.39

we stopped at Cosmic Rays and i don't think i've ever seen so many people in there in my life.. i wanted something quick so i got the veggie burger with fries.. cosmic rays has an awesome salad bar so i loaded up on pickles.. and dan ate some!!! ugh. but the veggie burger was really good, bun was super toasted.. loved it.. ps. on vacation i LOVE to eat my french fries with mayo... ENTIRELY unhealthy, but sooooo good. i even turned Dan onto this.. but only on vacation, lol i swear.

We went on some more rides, Dan did some trading for sorcerers cards.. and then he got hungry so we wanted to try the Nutella waffle from Sleepy Hollow refreshments. they were also packed and we waited like 15min for them to make it.

Nutella and Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich $6.39

we split it in half, it was amazing!!!! i love the fruit with the nutella, like a sweet dessert but kind of healthy.. KIND OF, lol

dan didn't eat any of his fruit.

 such a waste of delicious fruit... c'monnnnnn

we didn't end up staying that late.. like 2ish.. we were exhausted from the early day and there's only so much you can do lol.. but before we left, dan had to hit up the ice cream offerings..

its okay..

i know your thinking it

fatties

:rotfl:

i had a lick or too... LOL

Soft-Serve Ice Cream Cup or Cone - vanilla, chocolate or vanilla chocolate swirl soft-serve $3.49

can go wrong with a choc-vanilla swirl.. no sir
