Margaritas at San Angel

We are eating lunch at San Angel in a few weeks. I really want to try one of the jalapeno or avocado margaritas. They are not on the restaurant menu, but they are on the tequila bar menu that is in Mexico. Would I be able to order one with lunch? If not, would I be able to order one outside at the bar and take it into lunch with me?

Though I don't have personal experience with it, this question has come up before.

And the answer was that they do not serve the margaritas in the restaurant, however you can pop next door and get one "to go" and bring it into the restaurant - just let the Tequila Cave people know what you want to do.

Just hit the bar first and then go to your table.

They do serve some of the margaritas in the restaurant, I ordered the jalapeno one there last September.

Yes, the bar will allow you to order one there and take it with you. If you are not leaving the pavilion, they might even put it in a glass instead of the plastic cup.

When you say "outside" I assume you are not referring to the frozen margarita stand outside the pavilion which always puts everything in plastic cups to go, but the La Cava del Tequila bar which is inside the pavilion.
