Mardi Gras?

Do people where you live celebrate Mardi Gras? Down here we sure do. I live in Louisiana, and it's pretty big here. I'm going to New Orleans with my best friend Friday, and we're staying until Monday night. I'm so excited. And the schools get out Monday and Tuesday also. Is Mardi Gras celebrated where you live?

Not really, I live in New Jersey so we're a little far from the Mardi Gras scene. But of course, they are like people that have a small party or something. But nothing major at all. I would love to go to NOLA for a real Mardi Gras. That would be awesome!

sorta. theres a lot of celebrations/parades for it downtown but thats about it. and the local bars have a hay day with it. we used to celebrate it in french class, though. XD

Aww I'd love to go to New Orleans during Mardi Gras, it'd be way cool!

Nothing happens in my area....my family always has pancakes for dinner on Mardi Gras though.

Obviously, we do not celebrate it here. Maybe some people on the border (of AR and LA) do though.

st. louis does a bunch of stuff.
and some of my friends have parties and everything.
but i don't drink and that is all mardi gras is around here, so i am kinda outta luck.

Not me. But when I was in Mississippi, I saw a giant Mardi Gras store. I thought, wow a giant store just for Mardi Gras? My brother said people get their party supplies and float building supplies there.

I live in Pennsylvania so we really dont celebrate it.
It would be really fun i think.
The only place I know where people celebrate it is at local bars haha

Fat Tuesday. Mardi means 'Tuesday', and Gras means 'fat', in French of coarse.
