We are thinking about spending a couple of days at Universal after our 4-night DCL cruise in March of '09. I understand that this is during Mardi Gras, but we will probably be in the park on a Thursday/Friday. We'll miss the Saturday parade and concert, but are there Mardi Gras activities on weekdays, too? Thanks!!

we too are doing a four day disney cruise in march and then on to hard rock for the rest of our vaca. Saturday nights are the big parades(with beads),food and concerts(saw KC last year). During the rest of the week there is mardi gras merchandise for sale but I believe that is all.
Enjoy can't wait to see what the concert line up is for this march.

Mardi Gras festivities are usually only on Saturday evenings with the parade and concert.

We've never been to the "real" Mardi Gras, so we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the parade last Spring. DS9 was LOADED with all our beads.

We actually went over to Orlando after a beach week just to see Mardi Gras. It might be worth extending your stay by a day.

yeah been twice and thought it was rubbish to be honest. i've been at horror nights and they are so so much better.
Well...the only REAL Mardi Gras celebration is in New Orleans but Universal has great concerts and the parade is usually good too.
