Mardi Gras parade seated and cinematic spectacular

do we know yet if the cinematic spectacilar will be dark for all of Mardi Gras? If it will be shone, is there a good spot to watch the parade and show?

If not is there anywhere along the parade you can sit and see. I watched a video and it looks like everyone is standing

You can sit on the curb along the route, if you like...just have to claim a good spot, for the parade. There is usually all kinds of places for you to sit and enjoy the Cinematic Spectacular...they have it showing on multiple barges, so you can see it from anywhere around the lagoon.

There usually isn't a huge need to get somewhere really early...just judge how the crowd is doing and you will know when you probably need to claim yourself a spot.

If you are looking to get out of the park as quick as possible, after the spectacular, the waterfront area in front of Mel's Diner is an optimal spot.

On Saturday I watched the Mardi Gras parade across from the T2 area

Benches on both side of that street section

Did not go there until 30 minutes prior and found benches open

On the front page of the UO site cinema spectacular dates should be listed

On a different note would just after the parade be a good time for minions?

Maybe. Many people take advantage of the parade drawing a crowd and will get in line during the parade...which goes by a stretch of the Minions queue. If you want to try just after, I would choose a spot near the entrance to the queue. If you do not have EPs, you should get their app, which let's you know what current wait times are at each ride...even if you have EP's, it's still a good app to have handy.
