Mardi Gras parade-Ok to miss or must do?

I noticed that there is a Mardi Gras parade scheduled for the night we are going to be at US. But, I already booked reservations at Emeril's for the same time period. Should I try to change my reservation or is the parade no big deal? I have 2 teens if that makes a difference-I wasn't sure if they'd care or not.

The parade is a ton of fun catching beads. It really depends on your kids.

If you don't care about the concert that night, you should still try to see the parade and catching beads is lots of fun.

You can always eat dinner, the parade is one of those shouldn't-miss parts of a vacation. If you skip it you can't watch it the next night it's just on saturday.

They only have a parade when they have a concert, which is generally on Saturdays.

You should be there for the parade,Mardi Gras is one of the major events at Universal and the parade is one of the highlights.

We've never eaten at the Emeril's in CityWalk but the one in Atlanta received mediocre reviews and is already closed. It's not like Emeril is in the kitchen cooking your dinner, it's just his name on an overpriced restaurant. And in this case it would be an overpriced restaurant on the busiest night of the week. If you could move it a day in either direction you would probably give the staff a better chance to show you why they can charge so much for dinner.

I have too agree with Purseval on this.Do the parade,its A blast,then schedule your dinner at Emiral's CW at another time.
I heard from friends that even the steak is better at Nascar Cafe' then there at A cheaper price.Now at Tchoup Chop at RPR the open table looked awesome and the atmoshpere was better looking as well as the menu and pricing..imo
