Mardi Gras in April 2006?

Does anyone think they will extend Mardi Gras in 2006 like they did in 2005? We plan to be there the last 2 Saturdays in April. I really want to catch Mardi Gras in 2006.

Does anyone know the dates? How about when it usualy begins. I'm even thinking of going for an early weekend.

Not a clue. Mardi Gras is February 28, 2006 which is 20 days later than it was last year. Just as Easter changes every year, so does Mardi Gras. I suspect that it will go all through March next year but how late into April is anyone's guess.
