Help!

We have only been to Universal during HHN a few times and this vacation I want to shake it up a bit. So, I made reservations for a club level Royal Pacific room in April. (1, for the express pass, 2, for the breakfast and snacks we can eat there and save $ in the parks) My problem is we know nothing about Mardi Gras in the parks, what's exciting, what to do, anything. I have seen things about food and food lanyards, but no clue what that's about. Do they do like a parade? Can y'all help I need things to get my teen excited? We will be going for a week, just to the two parks, but plan on also utilizing the hotel pool and seeing shows too.

Thanks!!

Hello, as far as I know there are 4 main things for Mardi Gras.
1. The parade (you can get on a float and throw beads)
2. The Food Booth (universal usually creates some type of discount, i.e. lanyards, so you can get more food)
3. The Concerts (On certain dates they bring artists to perform and it’s included in the price of admission.)
4. The Tribute Store

Here is a video from the DIS of this year parade

This year it was discounted food gift cards, parade, tribute store, and concerts. We bought lots of discounted food gift cards (5) and we still have part of one. We went to one concert out of 3 while we were there- Jason Derulo. He was pretty good and had by far the largest crowd that weekend. I hope you have fun.
