Mardi Gras 2017: Evie's 6th Birthday at WDW*updated with Mardi Gras pics*

All caught up on your PTR. Such a special family and how cool to be planning this trip! Disney is such a special place and seeing it through a child's eyes as they experience it makes it even better!

Enjoyed all the Mardi Gras coverage, and Evie's float was so cute. Never experienced Mardi Gras in person, and not sure I ever will at my age......just so much craziness to deal with...... but all the family friendly activities you did look like lots of fun! I will be making my first actual trip to NOLA this October before a Disney trip to help Liesa celebrate, but that should be during a much quieter time (the NOLA part, not the Liesa part).

So glad you noticed those bruises on Evie and took action on them. So many times it is easy to just pass things like that off as normal and expect them to go away. So glad that you have received the best possible news so far as they diagnose what is going on with your little Princess, and determine the best path for treatment.

She is such a happy little cutie with an infectious smile, and I will be sending thoughts and prayers often that she will continue to be that brave little trooper and will be completely well again soon!

I was sent also by Liesa, but in addition you had so e great suggestions for me on my PTR when I went to LA. I didn't realize you had a PTR going.

However this news takes priority over anything else. Your family and especially your daughter are in my thoughts, and I hope that the early detection works to your benefit and everything works out. Stay strong and know that we are all behind you!

One concern DH and I have is balancing the need for a germ free environment with her neutropenic system with her very social nature. Please pray that we make the right decisions in order to keep her safe during this process!

Super legit concern. That's gonna be a hard one. Can you set up some Facetime or Skype with her friends? Phone chats with relatives??

Dayna, I hope you and your family are able to support each other through Evie's diagnosis and treatment - you have prayers and pixie dust for Evie from around the world now. Wow! I can't believe how much I have missed. I am so very sorry to hear about Evie having ALL and what a shock it must have been. I am so glad that you caught it early and it sounds like you are good hands with the doctors and hospitals you are working with. I will be lifting her up in prayers along with your family and the doctors on her case. Please keep us updated over here on the DIS!

Somehow I was not receiving the alerts, and just got caught up with all the updates. I am so sorry to hear what has happened. I am dealing with a family member having caner too, but I know it's the hardest when it is your kid. I am wishing you all the best!
