Yes, another "what time of year" thread. Sorry in advance.

As you can see from my signature, we are planning a trip for March of next year. After originally deciding between August and March I thought our plans were set, but now I am second guessing myself. We were thinking of going over spring break (3/15-3/20) due to the nice weather and DD's birthday falling during that time. Now I am also considering the week of Memorial Day, but know it will be much hotter at this point and likely still pretty crowded. So between the last week of May or spring break in March, which would you choose?

We have been going the week of Memorial Day for several years straight. Compared to other times we had been before, it is a little busier, but we just seem to enjoy it more. It's a great way for us to feel we are kicking off to summer. We arrive the Saturday before Memorial Day and leave the Saturday after. In my experience, Hollywood Studios is usually more crowded than the other parks on Memorial Day.
Whenever you decide to go, have a magical time!pixiedust:

We use to be only able to go in March and it was always at Spring Break time. It was crowded, but they did offer a lot of Extra Magic Hours so we were fine. Last time I went the week before Memorial Day and stayed through the Memorial Day Weekend. It was much warmer than when we went for Spring Break, but still ok. We didn't notice it getting too crowded until the Weekend of Memorial Day. Before that the crowds were pleasant. Memorial Day was not as crowded as the Spring Breaks we always went on. I'm not sure when the crowds will be the most heavy in March because everyone's Spring Break is different.

If it were me I would pick March for sure. We have gone in both March and May and it is HOT in May and we just prefer the nicer weather of March. In our opinion, it's the perfect weather - warm enough to swim but not so hot that you sweat to death. That said, the crowds in March are worse than what we experienced in May.

We were there that same week last year - in the parks May 20-24, so we left right before Memorial Day weekend, but did notice quite an uptick by the Friday. Since we would have to go for the week of Memorial Day next time, I am worried that the whole week will resemble the Friday we had last year. Every other day last May we found the crowds to be easily manageable, but we sure did feel the heat in them that last day!

Are you going the week before or after Memorial Day? It does start getting more crowded toward the weekend but after Memorial Day it really lightens up. We were there 2 years ago from the 22nd to the 30th and the only heavy time we saw was over the weekend. Then it seems once Monday hit the crowds went away.

It would be for the week after. Specifically, 5/24-5/30.

Definitely March, soley for the nicer weather. I get unusually grouchy if it's too hot!

You'd be going right over Memorial Day Weekend which will make it very crowded. It is also much warmer in May than in March, but I was able to tolerate it and I really don't like the heat. The only thing you'd have to be concerned about in March is the Spring Break crowds, and that all depends on when the different schools have their break. We always went at the End of March in to April. We even had a few Easter's in there. The crowd's were heavy, but Disney does a nice job of adding Extra Magic Hours to help out. We were at MK once until 3 am . Just a side note, we found the crowds lighter when we went over Memorial Day Weekend than when we went over Spring Break.
