March 9, 10 and 11 will be "park" days for us, will be staying off-site, we are early risers and are Rope Drop WDW vets, first time to DL! Also doing Universal Hollywood, would you recommend Universal on that Monday (9th), then DCA and then DL on Wed for best crowd experience,, hours, etc.? That way, we don't enter the park 1 hour behind MM'ers and EMH'ers and we hit DL on a Wed, maybe the least crowded weekday during week? Thoughts or opinions?

I think that going to Universal on Monday is a good idea. I've heard that Mondays at DL tend to be busy.

If you look at the crowd calendars, Monday is rated the least busy day for the week you're going.

I have Sun - Thu a week later than you (14th - 19th) and it will be considerably busier guaranteed, because it's spring break in Canada- and some other nearby states, I think.

We are also doing one day at Universal Studios and planned to go on the Wednesday, but our plans are centered around renting a car from DLR for only two days (to get to Universal) and then returning it to the airport late Thursday evening for our flight home. So we're not really flexible with our days.

Are you doing VIP at Universal? It's so expensive but we did it 3 years ago and it was sooo worth it!

No VIP, I'll have to take my chances! We are taking Starline Bus from Anaheim to Hollywood Studios so we don't have to rent a car, it was $25/pp round trip however I got a Groupon for an even better rate so happy that we don't have to have a car, might be something to look in case you don't need a car for the rest of your trip.

As long as Wed hours at DL are at least 8-10 or 9-10, etc and Indy is still running perhaps I'll look at Wed - DL, Tuesday - DCA and Monday Universal, only other option is to flip flop Monday and Wed but may be ok either way, thanks for info all!
