March hotel rates

I just looked at rates for your dates and am sorry to report those are pretty typical rates now for the on property hotels, not especially high. I'd go so far as to say the DLH rate is actually pretty low for a Premium view room due to the rate promo....

Natural Products West is going on at the Convention Center those dates (a very big conference) so the Hilton right there next to the convention center is outrageously high those days but much less the week before and the week after. On property is always expensive but the Hilton and other things by the convention center have a huge range in prices depending on the Convention Center schedule and the time of year (holidays etc). This convention probably won't have a ton of effect on the number of people in the parks but a huge effect on hotel prices in the area.

Thank you all for the replies, I meant to off property hotels. We normally stay at the Hilton for around 350 a night - but it’s showing over 1k. I thought maybe something else was going on like a convention or something. We usually go in March and I just didn’t remember it being that high.

It looks like your exact dates are pretty booked up. I think your are right that there must be a convention.

I just ran a week in Feb and PP is $387, DLH is $474, and GC is $608. So, the prices in March are in fact a lot higher than if you have the flexibility to travel at non-peak times.
The OP's early march dates have similar rates to those for onsite hotels (except GCH but that's likely due to standard view not being available), FWIW. So it's not all of March.
But does sound like OP's issue has more to do with that Natural Products convention and the offsite hotels. Maybe time to try the DLH at $461/nt for Premium View that week!
