I'm back with my second dining review! Well, I guess I can't say that since I haven't finished my first one from January...but I will!
I am in law school and in the process of planning my very own dream come true Disney Wishes wedding that is taking place in December...so things got a little busy. But Don and I are going back to the world for a much needed mini-vacation tomorrow. Besides tomorrow's stormy skies the weather looks great, so we should have a lovely sunny trip away from the cold-gripped midwest.
It was my 25th birthday on Monday, so this will be a birthday-centric trip, even though we couldn't make it down there on my exact birthday.
The plan:
Thursday, March 31
- Paradiso 37 (a new fave from last trip. maybe over-priced, but still good!)
- Narcoosee's (love the setting here, plus it is a nice slow, relaxing way to start the trip)
Friday, April 1
- Akershus (princesses! plus AMAZING smoked salmon on the cold bar)
- Teppan Edo (haven't been since I was a kid)
- Coral Reef (fish tank dining...need I say more)
Saturday, April 2
- Cape May Cafe (doing our rehearsal dinner here, so we wanted to stop by and look at the layout/decor, etc.)
- 50s Prime Time Cafe (so fun...I am hoping we get a cast member who is really into character)
- Tutto Italia (everyone raves about VN, but we think Tutto is great as well)
Sunday, April 3
- The Wave (new breakfast buffet, and we can't wait to try it)
- Liberty Tree Tavern (always a must for the setting and the fact that it is the best place in MK)
- California Grill (got a late dinner so that we can see the fireworks...and SUSHI)
Monday, April 4
-Tusker House (Don won't go there for dinner, but he is always game for breakfast)
- Hollywood Brown Derby (We had this scheduled for the last trip, but ended up being too full to go...but we can't pass up grapefruit cake two trips in a row!)
Tuesday, April 5
- Grand Floridian Cafe (Never been for breakfast, but it is a beautiful restaurant...and we'll be having our reception at the GF, so it's nice to stop by)
- Biergarten (we have to leave on this note...Don loves to make sausage pretzel roll sandwiches)
If you haven't noticed, we have a breakfast scheduled for each day. DON LOVES BREAKFAST. He's a picky eater, but that is the way I ensure that he doesn't spend his days eating corn dogs, egg rolls, and hot dogs. At least he gets a good breakfast in him.
But this trip he is insisting on eating all his favorite snacks. So far he has listed off: two dole whips (that's right, apparently 1 is not enough), a Casey's hot dog (is that even a "snack"), corn dog, pretzel, jalapeno cream cheese pretzel, werther's caramel corn, egg roll, werther's caramel cupcake, corn dog nuggets, and a main street cinnamon roll. I am not sure how he is fitting all these "snacks"/small meals into our deluxe dining plan, but he assures me that it is possible.
Wish me luck in keeping up with his snacking!
