March 9, 2012 "Dream a Little Dream Team" 4 Night Cruise

I just reserved our cabin on the Dream on March 9, 2012, and I didn't see a cruise meet thread on the board for this date. Anyone joining us???

I can't wait! This is my second cruise, but it's been forever, and it will be the first for my children. So excited about Animator's Palate and the Aquaduck!

How old are your kids?

I have a 16 yr. old daughter and my 7 yr old daughter turns 8 on Feb. 29th...this is her birthday vacation!

I'm so glad to hear someone will be there with us! I have two boys who will be 5 and 9; it will be a birthday vacation for the younger one (who will turn 6 right after the cruise).

I'm going to see if a moderator will move us over to the Cruise Meets Forum - there isn't a thread there yet for our cruise, and we can start one!!!

I have almost started this thread a dozen times, but didn't get around to doing it until tonight! I even had a 'name' for our cruise in mind (the "Dream a Little Dream Team") since this is a shorter cruise (well, shorter than the 5 day double dip, or 7+ day cruises).
My name is Teri, and it will be my DH Mason, and our two kids DS 7 and DD 5 (almost 6). We booked this while onboard the Magic last week (gosh, has it already been a week! )
We have "recruited" a ton of friends to come along, so they should be logging on in the future (with my gentle urging). So far there are about 9 or 10different cabins booked!

We will be on this cruise: me (Chris); DW; DD13 at time of cruise; and DD6 (at time of cruise). We booked this when we were on the Wonder for the March 13 Mexican Riveria cruise. Our plan is to do this cruise and then go to the Beach Club for 5 nights afterwards. Do not want to get too excited since this is almost a year away. Although now that it is April we are one month closer.

Well I think I'm now officially excited! I bought "cruise" stickers for my photo album that's going to hold all the pictures I plan on taking! Now I'd better not lose them!

DH and I just got off the Dream 3/27 sailing and rebooked this cruise onboard (tentatively). Hopefully it will be DH, DS (turning 18 on the cruise) and DD15 and I.....if it works out. DS will be in his senior year of high school and we are uncertain of his schedule of activities at school. So we have until Christmas 2011 to either move the date or cancel. Hopefully we will see you all onboard!

Hi everyone!!! So happy to have found this thread!! We're going on our first cruise EVER on the March 9 sailing next year and I'd be SO HAPPY to meet up with others who have children that I could introduce my 10-year old son to, as he's our only child that will be going. (Other two are grown!) If I could find someone with a boy his age to hang out with, that would be fabulous!! He's a great kid.

We are booked for this cruise!! It will be our first DCL cruise, and the first cruise for our kids, DD6 and DD5 (at time of sailing). It also happens to be my 40th bday that weekend. If I have to turn 40, it may as well as be on the Dream!!

2 sets of Grandparents, 2 sets of parents, 2 - 9 year olds and 5 year old triplets. Is anybody interested in doing fish extenders on this cruise?

Not having been on my first cruise yet, what I've figured out is.

the side of your cabin door is a hook for messages etc...It's in the shape of a fish. People started making a sort of mail box(fabric) with 2 or 3 pockets for additional space for messages/mail etc... So if you're part of a FE group, everyone in that group either makes or buys a little souvenier gift for members of that room and at some point on the cruise you leave it as a surprise in their FE.
