We have 10 families participating. We need some information for a few of you... Please include your last name, in the event someone is making a magnet for you, and definitely give us your stateroom number, or, no gifts. This group is a great size. If you are not confirmed on the cruise, or do not wish to participate, let me know immediately, so save the others the expense, and hassle, of getting you gifts. I would be happy to organize the Fish Extenders for the March 5-12, 2016 Star Wars sailing! Please reply with your cabin number and the names and ages of the people in your family. I will close this on January 31st to allow time to make/purchase your items. A completed list will be sent out on February 1st.

What’s a fish extender?
On the Disney Cruise Line, each of the staterooms has a small silver fish or seahorse to the right or left of the door. Usually, it’s used to hold invitations, receipts, and correspondence during your cruise, but those participating in a Disney cruise fish extender exchange hang a bag or special holder to the “fish” to serve as a mailbox. If you want to participate, you sign up, provide your information and stateroom number, and make little goodies for each person or each cabin.

What to give for fish extender gifts.

This is the fun part – the sky is the limit here are some of our favorite fish extender gift ideas:

• Minnie/Mickey hair accessories
• Magnets to decorate our stateroom door
• Bubbles
• Glow sticks for Pirate Night
• Pirate eye patches
• Games
• Nail accessories
• Beach items
• Flashlight
• Water bottles
• something from the country you are from
• Movie candy
• Something Star Wars for Day at Sea
• Anything Disney! Be creative, and have fun!!

Kim: Thanks for undertaking the handling of the Fish Extenders. We just booked our cruise (number 10!) so we are past your cut-off date and we don't have a cabin assigned to us yet. Traci454: Even if the fish extender list is already closed to additional just-booked families, definitely DO bring your fish extender to hang by your cabin door. Most FE participants bring extra gifts so you never know what will turn up in your FE! Have a wonderful first cruise with Disney!

A Disney character, which you select, will call you at a date/time you assign with a message that will make you even MORE excited than you already are! Character call reservations are found on the disneycruise.com website, type in your cruise reservation #, and then select "My Details."

Another free must-do: Watch the animated short starring Goofy. View it on the page "My Online Check-in Overview."

What does everyone think about the weather? I was reading another post that said Castaway Cay might only be as high as 75 degrees. I'm in Arizona and the weather here is in the high 80s. Do you all think it will be cooler than it is here? I'm wondering if I should pack some warmer clothes. Now I'm getting nervous! I did read that the movie theater is very cold so definitely packing a light sweater for evenings.
