Happy to see I won't be sailing alone :woohoo: Kids would of been very disappointed if there was no FE, it add more magic to the cruise.

I guess we will have to wait a little more for others to join in the we will start making a list.

Marianne,

Have a great time at Disneyland. I have never been before. Since I live 1 1/2 hr from Disney Orlando, we go there. Well, have a great time.

Trying my countdown for the first time.

Thank you, I can't wait, especially since I will be escaping our freezing weather!!

You are so lucky to be so close to WDW :goodvibes

We booked this sailing on our Dream sailing last week. Another Mardi Gras on the Seas!! :joker:

Welcome Julie!

Had not even thought about that. I will be sure to bring my beads!!!! :)

Was last week your first Dream Cruise? Fill us in on how it was. Did you participate in FE? How many participated?

What was your #1 favorite thing and what was your least favorite experience?

Thank you both for welcoming me!

Yes, this sailing will be during our Mardi Gras vacation. It was fun during last weeks sailing to have so many from Southern Louisiana on board. Not obnoxious :crazy2:, but rather a nice comradery. We decorated our door & ourselves :thumbsup2 with beads, & handed some out to others.

This was our first Dream sailing. We had previously sailed the Wonder in 2008. Having sailed other cruise lines as well, I would have to say one of the most enjoyable things about the cruise was how every CM was so first class. Always acknowledging you, offering assistance, going out of their way to have conversation. Of course we loved the AquaDuck & Castaway Cay. We had beautiful weather. We went to Atlantis in Nassau. It was enjoyable, but not something I would pay those big bucks for to go again.

We did not participate in this sailings FE. There was just to much going on leading up to the cruise to organize myself for this. We did participate on our 2008 sailing & loved it. In fact we still have many good friends that we stay in contact with from the 2008 cruise.

I did not realize that it will be during Mardi Gras, unfortunately they do not celebrate that here in Quebec :sad2: But I had the opportunity to celebrate it in New Orleans when I was younger.

Maybe we can use it as a theme for this sailing :joker:

This will be our 3rd cruise, we have sailed before on the Wonder and the Dream. The Dream is by far our favorite. Never been to Atlantis, maybe we will go this year via Comfort Suites, we will see.

Ok Ladies-

It's been 4 months since we first started this group and still it's only the three of us. Will we ever get more os us to join?

I did a little shopping over the last week. Of course I know we don;t know how many will join us, and their ages, but I picked up a few items for little ones. Not sure how many really do travel with real little ones, but I saw something cute on sale and said- i'll put it in the box with the other items. (I already ahve the adult FE gift all figured out :)! Yeah!)

Well, guess what- going to MGM on Wednesday. Just a day trip. It's nice that I can get over to the "EARS" in 1 1/2 hrs. We are getting hte three day and have plans with my mom to go next month (staying at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort) My DM is taking DS to Magic Kingdom while my DH and I go to epcot. But that is not until first week of May. So this is just a little day over at MGM with DH and DS. I have not been in 10 years and DH and DS have never been. We always head to MK or Epcot. So I'm excited to see all the new stuff they have added for little ones.

I tried today to check and see how much the Comfort Inn and Suites is going to be, but they have not yet release March 3, 2014 to book yet. We are thinking of doing the check-in/ check-out for a day at Atlantis. Also thinking of Blue Lagoon for the Dolphin interaction, but not sure as my DH will be going to gamble at Atlantis no matter what! :)

I was thinking of starting a pre-trip report. I just might. . . . Since I am having so much fun planning.

Well, I hope to see another 3-2-14 cruiser join us soon.

Lucky you, I wish I could go on a trip between now and the cruise :goodvibes
I need sunshine, it's a dark, rainy day here today :(

We wanted to go to Atlantis too via Comfort Inn, I think it's about 250$ still cheaper than through the Disney excursion, I read that you check in/out at the same time. According to some you pay housekeeping fees regardless if you went to the room or not. Others said they did not have to pay...

the only problem is that we are 5 and room is only for 4 :worried: I will email them when we get closer to the date to see if they can make an exception.

I can't wait :woohoo:

I'm still here :goodvibes Busy with lots of other things, but still thinking about our next sailing on the Dream. :thumbsup2

I contacted CS about booking for Atlantis. They said they were going to release March 3rd on April 30th. I will post once I get prices.

I also started a facebook page incase others are out there looking for our group. I know we are like forever away from sailing but I guess I thought we would have a bigger group by now. Here is the link:

Just sent a request :thumbsup2

Let me know about CS

Ok ladies- so I just got an e-mail back from CS.
I asked for a rate with 3 adults and I child (5 at time of travel). This is what they sent me.

$250 room rate, $40 for the extra adult, $120.85 for taxes and gratuities (I guess they do those charges even if we don't step into the room). For a total of $410.85.

If we do not go to port then we would have to get a letter from DCL stating we did not go into port and we would get refunded but if we go to port and bad weather we still have to pay.

We are still thinking about it but I'm glad we have the info to plan.

Also- I hope we get more to add in the FE. I saw on a FE Facebook page that someone had 103 in their group. Ok so I hope to have more but maybe not 103.

Well- ill write again in 2 weeks after our three day two night get away to Disney ( Caribbean beach resort) Next week. Looking forward to shopping at downtown Disney!!!
